Mayla wakes up to the happy sounds of Willo. The room they share is all clean and put together like nothing happened. There is shelving on the walls that hold the plushies Mayla and Turambil got Willo. They also hold all the wood carvings that were made by the other elves. Mayla sits up in bed and stretches. She lets out a small sigh. "Willo, let's go see what Turambil is up to." She gets out of bed, makes a baby carrier out of one of Willo's blankets and walks over to pick Willo up. She puts him in the make shift carrier and heads out of their room. As Mayla walks around the castle she notices Turambil under Mother Tree. "Do you see him out there with Mother Tree? Lets go surprise him." Mayla said with a smile. Willo smiles back at her. Mayla walks up to Turambil who looks lost leaning up against the ancient tree. Mayla sits down next to him. "Did you have a bad night? Why are you out here so early?" Turambil looks over at Mayla. "I didn't have a bad night Mayla, in fact last night was hilarious." Turambil says with a chuckle. "I'm out here because I was hoping she would give me some guidance on how to tame Willo's powers. I've been out here all night asking for a sign or anything to help me figure this out but I got nothing." Mayla picks up Turambil's hand. "You worry so much about everyone. Let me help you figure this out. Okay?" Turambil puts his hand on Mayla's shoulder. "Thank you Mayla. There is something you can do." Mayla gets a big smile on her face. "What can I do?" Turambil chuckles. "You can tell me how you made this for Willo. It looks a lot easier then holding him all the time." Mayla laughs. "I'll take him out and show you." Mayla takes Willo out of the carrier and unfolds it. She lays Willo down in between a couple roots to hold him in place. She shows Turambil how she folded it. While she's showing him Willo looks up into the tree. One of her massive leaves falls down and drifts in the light breeze. The leaf lands on Willo and he begins to laugh. Mayla looks over to Willo. "I think Mother Tree thought Willo was cold. He has a leaf blanket." She says laughing. Turambil looks over. "I think you're right. Wait, could this be my sign? A leaf?" Mayla shrugs. "I don't know what a leaf has to do with anything." Turambil puts his thumb and index finger on his chin while looking at Willo and the leaf. "Not a leaf. Leaph. He has some members of his clan in the human world that he talks to here and there. Maybe he's the answer we need." With that as Turambil's thought he jumps up. "I'm going to go find Leaph. You two have fun and stay out of trouble." Mayla smiles at Turambil as he jogs off. "I didn't know a simple leaf falling would make him this happy. Come on Willo. Want to go to the water and see some fish?" Willo still holding onto the leaf waves his hands. "I will take that as a yes." So Mayla and Willo head out into the forest in search of a pond to watch the fish.
Turambil comes running through the castle calling for Leaph. Everytime he sees someone walking he stops and asks if they know where he could be. "I do believe Leaph is in the kitchens scrounging for food." One of the older maids said. "Thank you ma'am." Turambil says as he heads in the direction of the kitchens. As he walks in, he sees Leaph trying to sit down without hurting himself. Turambil leans against the wall silently laughing and watching Leaph try and fail then try again. Finally Leaph gives up and stands there as he eats. Turambil walks up behind him and slaps him on the back. "Here you are. Still having trouble trying to sit?" Leaph jumps and lets out a small shriek and lands his sore butt right on the stool. The look on his face says it all. "Turambil?! You gave me and my butt a heart attack! Why have you been looking for me? Is there something wrong?" Turambil laughs. "No, nothing wrong. You have some of your clan members in the human world still right?" Leaph looks to Turambil. "Yeah. I have a couple of them. Why do you ask?" Turambil tries to think of how to word it. "You're making a weird face. You're not going to like blow up or something are you?" Leaph asks. "No Leaph. I'm not going to blow up. Do you have any of them that know anything about witches?" Leaph looks excited. "A witch huh? Why don't you just go to the lady you got Willo from? I mean that would be the easiest way. Right?" Turambil sits there in silence for a moment. "It would, but she is suffering enough. Besides, I took her memory of all she knows about us and that I took Willo. All she knows is that Willo was taken to be adopted and that he will be safe." Leaph looks sad. "That's a shame. It would have been easy but I guess I can understand that. Let me get ready and I'll go to the human world and see what I can't find out." Turambil shakes Leaph's hand. "Thank you. Let me know what you find out." Turambil leaves the kitchen with Leaph still sitting there. When Leaph finishes his snack he runs off to his room to get ready for his outing in the human world.
Leaph gathers a few of his things he wants to sell and walks into the forest. Leaph comes across one of his favorite trees to sit in. This particular tree is special to him. He found it when he was young and just learning to hunt. He would sit up in this tree for hours and hours just listening to the forest. This tree also happens to be a thin vale between the human world and the elven world. All Leaph has to do is imagine where he wants to go and walk through. It's never 100% but it gets him where he needs to be 90% of the time. There has been a couple times where he wanted to go to Montana but ended up in a river on instead of flat land or he would end up 5 miles away from his destination. Leaph walks past the tree thinking of his greatest friend Kallon. When Leaph opens his eyes, he's in the middle of a swamp. Kallon drops down form the tree tops and lands in front of him. "Why are you here?" Kallon asks drawing his bow. Leaph backs up and drops his bag. He slowly reaches behind and in the small of his back he pulls out a silver dagger. As the two circle each other like they are enemies, they both drop their weapons and engulf each other in a hug. "It's been awhile Kallon. How have you been?" Kallon pulls back. "It has been ages. Everything here is good. I like to come out here to get close to home. You know? Hey, quick question." Leaph smiles and bends down to pick up their weapons. He hands the bow to Kallon and returns the dagger back to its sheath. "A few days ago, maybe a week tops. There was this power that I felt. Do you know anything about that?" Leaph gets a smirk on his face. "In fact I do. The most wonderous of things happened. The king has been born." Kallon looks at Leaph. "Why do you have that stupid smile? As for the king. That can't be. We haven't had any royalty in centuries. How does Turambil feel about all this now that his position in power is threatened?" Leaph's smile fades. "You're still not bitter of the fact that I was appointed Elder and you weren't are you? It was just down to us two and we both made a promise. We promised that no matter who got the title the other would be happy for them and help them run the clan. One on the inside and one on the outside with the people. When I was picked you just left. Why?" Kallon looks away. "I didn't just leave. In fact I went to your chambers that night to congratulate you. Your father stopped me and told me that because you are clan elder I had no right to be friends with you anymore. It would bring shame to you to have a close friend that was a lowly elf." Leaph looked into the hurt eyes of Kallon. "My father never mentioned anything about this to me. He told me that you were angry that I was chosen so you packed a bag and left. I'm sorry for everything. That was so long ago. My father died shortly after." Kallon puts his hand on Leaphs shoulder. "I'm sorry about your dad. I'm sorry I didn't leave a letter or anything. I just always figured that you would come looking for me and I could return home. I know you have visited me a few times in the past but you never brought any of this up so I figured it best to just stay away." Leaph sighs. "About the power you felt. It is true. The king has been born. We have a bit of a problem with him though." Kallon gets a wicked look on his face. "What is he human or something?" Leaph laughs. "I wouldn't say that. He's not only our king but he is the child of the prophecy. He was born to a witch/human family. The mother didn't want him so plans were put into motion that his witch grandmother would learn of us and Turambil took the baby and repressed her memory. She thinks he was adopted." "Wait.... He's the prophecy?" Kallon asks. "He's not just witch. He's werewolf, vampire, elf, and small part human." Leaph slowly nods his head. "Yes. I need your help getting a hold of some witch books. You know something to help us bind his powers. I'm going to tell you that the first full moon was not a fun night. He burnt my ass with lightning. How does a baby do that, right? Well. I don't know, but I sure felt it." Kallon starts to laugh. He laughs harder and harder till he almost falls over. "That explains so much. The power and the feeling of being pulled home. It also explains why you're walking bow legged." Leaph glares at Kallon. "It's so not funny." Leaph starts to laugh along with Kallon. "The books that you're searching for, I might be able to get a hold of. If not, I have a few people to ask. How long are you staying?" Leaph smiles. "I plan on staying till I get what I've searched for and when I convince you to come home. I need my right hand man there you know. Remember all the good times we had?" Kallon laughs. "I remember getting beat for spying on the she-elves in the springs. I also remember getting drunk for the first time off your dad's stash". Funny, those were both your ideas." Leaph laughs. "The drink yes. The girls were all you." As Leaph and Kallon walk through the swamp/marsh land they talk about how they have been and the stuff that's happened at home. They finally get to a small camp. "This is home." Kallon said. Leaph looks around. "You really don't like people do you? What are you and old spinster elf? I mean it suits you. You always liked being in the forest alone." Kallon laughs. "Shut up and go sit down. We have more to discuss."
