2 weeks...that's how long Amari had left to the deal. 2 weeks till Izuku's 16th birthday.

Amari had turned 16 a month ago. He didn't plan to be stuck inside a prison for his birthday, but he got to share it with Izuku.

He promised himself that he would let Izuku learn more about his feelings before he tried to kiss him. That wasn't the most important thing to him.

However, he knew that the end was near. Izuku had grown in many ways since he was first brought into the dorm.

Izuku was full of life because of Amari. It was noticeable by all. Qi noticed, Inko noticed it, the trainers noticed it.

But Amari knew that Izuku was going to be crushed when the end came. He knew what the final test was. He knew that Izuku was going to have to kill him.

Amari just had to pray that he would find him in the world and forgive him.

Time passed and like clockwork, Izuku glitched into the room mid afternoon.

"Welcome back," Amari spoke, scrolling through his iPod.

"Inko wants to speak with you," Izuku said, the slightest hint of fear being present in his eyes.

"Did she say why?" He asked, but he already knew.

"She didn't say. We'll just have to see," he reached out his hand, silently telling Amari to grab ahold of it.

"Now or never," Amari joked, reaching for Izuku's hand.

"There is only now, not never."

Amari giggled as the two made contact. immediately, Izuku glitched the two of them into Inko's office.

Inko was actively cleaning off a shelf when the two came in.

"Ms. Inko," Izuku slightly bowed his head.

Amari kept silent.

"Thank you Glitch. I would like to speak to Deity alone if you don't mind. I'll walk him back," she spoke looking at Izuku.

Izuku glanced over to Amari then back at her. "Yes ma'am," he bowed, glitching himself out of the room.

Amari felt the mood of the room change. He narrowed his eyes at her.

"Now, is that how you greet the woman who gave you a place to stay for a year?" She sat down at her desk.

"When I agreed to your deal, I didn't know I would be in a hell for kids!"

"Heroes in training. They aren't children."

"When you have someone here since he was 4, I would count that as kids!"

"Amari, Glitch has only told you what he knows," she spoke evenly.

"That he's been training since he was four and was given to this place by his parents. What even sick people do that to a kid?!"

Inko looked Amari up and down. "You're being very protective over him," she spoke aloud. Then as she let the puzzle come together in her head, she figured it out. "You've fallen for him? Haven't you?"

Amari stayed quiet.

"Your silence is just giving me my answer."

"What do you want me to say? Of course I've fallen for the 1 person I spent almost every living moment with for the past year. How could I not develop some sort of feelings?!"

"He doesn't have the mindset for a relationship. He-"

"No. He doesn't know how to have a mindset for a relationship. He doesn't know anything about how to be a human. I taught him about music, I taught him about smiling and laughing and jokes. You can't kill the human out of a person."
