Wrap your words up and tie them in a bow,
disguise them as a gift and i'll pretend they are so.
Dress your lies up in a suit and tie,
invite me out to dinner and i'll stand by your side.
Paint over your deceit,
turn it into art worthy enough to keep,
with bright colours and thick lines, intricate swirls and abstract design
hiding the reality with pictures so divine.
Maybe i'll tell myself it true,
that your words aren't a lie,
i'll kid myself, and try to convince myself
because it's easier to deny
the reality I know that is hidden behind
the small acts you do
in an attempt to disincline
me to leave, for a reason i'm not sure why,
but i'll pretend and ignore, until it's time to say goodbye.

Thoughts from my brain
PoetryIt's poetic, in a way. This is a mixture of poems and short passages. I'm writing these for myself, I guess, as a way to collect my thought, but I hope you enjoy the little pieces of me you read.
