The world whirls around us.
Music plays, people talk,
life goes on.
But we sit,
trying to grasp the seconds that are slipping through our fingers.
Trying to hold onto something intangible,
to slow down the inevitable.
We cling to all the time we can
in the hopes that tomorrow doesn't come,
regardless of the truths we know.
we lull ourselves into a false sense of security,
wishing that we can stay in this moment forever.
