The next day he wandered straight to Jooyeon's room, and to no surprise, he was asleep—again—and Seungmin got annoyed, but not that much because of the fact that Jooyeon was sleepy, but because of the fact that he knew that his body needed rest, yet not necessarily why it needed this much of it.

He just knew that he had to sleep this much to collect enough strength to get up and play with him, and it made him feel both special and sad at the same time.

If he could, he would have taken all his energy away from his own body and given it to Jooyeon, because he needed it way more than he did. If he could, he would have changed so many things about the dim reality they were in... but he was just a little boy, he couldn't do anything no matter how much he wished it were different.

He then walked right back to his room and looked out the window tracing the lanes and roads with his eyes. It was better than getting irritated thinking about how the world works and how unfair it is.

Still, he couldn't help but ponder about it more, and more... his mind was foggy, and the only words swirling there were sleep, rest, strength, and the fact that Jooyeon had very little of it.

"Isn't it pretty?" He heard a voice behind his head, and even before he turned around, he knew who it belonged to. "I love snow."

Jooyeon joined him in watching everything and Seungmin paid his ever so durable attention to every movement he performed. He noted in his head everything. Even the way he gripped the windowsill with his fingers.

"It's like an alien accidentally dropped his cup with a slushy," he went on and Seungmin couldn't shake off the feeling that his voice was abnormally weak. "How about we go out now? I wanna stick my tongue out and eat it!"

"Sister won't allow us." Seungmin replied. He wanted to go out, but he would never risk having to ask the Sister about it. There was no way in the world!

"No! She won't know." Jooyeon giggled, tugging on the older one's hand. "We have to sneak out."

Seungmin never liked such ideas, he hated opposing the law and rules, and yet Jooyeon seemed to enjoy not doing so the most! If not for the boy, Seungmin would probably never steal even a single candy from the bowl. He would always take one sweet just as the cook told them to, but under the influence of Jooyeon, somehow, he takes three pieces each time; additionally every week. It was not a good thing, and Seungmin hoped he wouldn't ever go to jail for doing such stuff. He was a good boy and it was not his fault that the people here thought that such a dose of sugar was enough for him and his friend.

Now, around four after noon, Thursday, he was being dragged by the hand down the stairs, and the aim of the secret journey was to commit the biggest crime he would ever make in his entire life—get out of the hospital without permission—and he couldn't lie, he was very scared.

It wasn't what he, or anyone else, would say about Jooyeon. He was barely holding his laughter in, trying his best to bypass the reception as quietly as possible.

They were never allowed to move around the hospital so freely on their own (moving between the rooms was okay in most cases), but they were on the first floor now. Seungmin was already trembling (with fear, not from cold), and his teeth were chattering.

"Shh," Jooyeon placed his finger in front of his lips, and Seungmin swallowed quite loudly. "They'll catch us unless you behave."

The front door, which was always unlocked, was right in front of them, and the only thing they had to do now was run towards the entrance and enjoy their time outside. Seungmin was still very scared, and the feeling was slowly catching Jooyeon as he felt his limbs get heavy suddenly.
