"What?" Seungmin furrowed his eyebrows, trying his best to push his way through the doctor Younghyun, who stood on his way to Jooyeon's room.
"No, no, no..." He shook his head, placing both of his hands on top of Seungmin's shoulders. "We aren't going inside. Not now."
"But he promised me!" He growled, pinching the doctor, who incredibly pissed him off. "He told me we will talk together!"
"You can't go inside now, do you not understand?" Doctor's voice was sharp. Not even a bit pleasant, and the way he looked at Seungmin—even worse, it was the look Jooyeon would always tell him about. The one when instead of staring at him simply, he would have his eyebrows weirdly narrowed (making him look as if he had a monobrow and a great crease parting his forehead), and his lips pressed into a thin line.
"No, I don't understand, and I don't care." He hissed, clenching his fists on the both sides of his body.
"We... We have an examination now, okay? You know how this works, don't you?" Doctor went on explaining, but Seungmin didn't even want to listen. He wanted to talk to him now and not later. "You are a smart boy, won't you wait for your friend and talk after this ends?"
As much as he wanted to shake his head and open the door with a bang, he knew it was a lost cause. No matter what he had to wait for, whatever the examination pertained to, be done.
Then they would talk, he repeated under his breath, walking straight into his room.
Despite everything, he could not sit down. He had to be busy with something all the time or else he would probably go mad. He started to walk around the room in circles and, in truth, only thought about what they would be able to talk about when he gets to his room again... and there was so much that he couldn't even tell which was the most important thing to start with.
Not being able to talk for about two weeks as it seemed to Seungmin, so many things to talk about had accumulated that it appeared to be impossible.
Even the mere fact that they hadn't spoken to each other for so long seemed out of his head.
The examination took longer than usual.
An hour passed, and Seungmin was still wandering in his own room with steps echoing with anticipation. Then another one... and he got even a bit tired.
It was not a normal examination, as he thought, but nothing could make him feel sad now. He motivated himself saying that they were going to spend time together finally. This pushed him through this long time of waiting and waiting...
Finally, as the door to his room opened, he turned around and stopped walking around immediately.
It was not the doctor (which was a bonus, if he were to be honest), but a Sister; a young one that he had seen in the hospital a lot. With her hands behind her body, she scanned Seungmin from the top to the bottom.
"Can I go to him now? It's over, right?" He bared his teeth, clapping his hands together.
This was the moment he was waiting for. Exactly this.
"Can we?" He tilted his head left. Maybe she wasn't native and couldn't understand what he was saying. The thing was, she stood in the door frame, and had the same look as the doctor Younghyun. Everything in the way she looked perfectly reflected the way he had looked at him this morning, and at Jooyeon for the past few months.
"Oh..." she let out eventually, putting on a smile. "I'm... I'm not sure we can go there, but—"
"We can't?"
"Yes, I mean..." she shook her head, stretching her hands out in front of him. "I found it in your friend's room, would you like to take it?" She crouched on the floor next to him, passing him his Zorro and a little piece of paper. Nothing beside that.
