Ava POV
I opened my eyes from the sun piercing through the curtains and the sound of Autumn moving around in the bathroom. I started to sit up when Autumn walked out the door in a towel wrapped around her body. My eyes trailed her body til they met with her piercing narrow ones looking back at me. She definitely saw me checking her out.I cleared my throat and stood up awkwardly. "How are you feeling?" I asked concerned.
"I feel great actually. Thanks for the medicine and water." She said with a smile that I know will be the death of me but I couldn't look away.
The sound of the door knocking broke the trance and I went to open it. "Good morning girls." My mom said dressed for work. Her eyes went wide when she noticed Autumn was just in a towel and my hair a mess. She eyed my with the eyes that says 'you didn't.'
I shook my head. And she proceeded to walk in to talk to Autumn. "We have to meet with a couple investigators today at the office. Can you be there by 9?" Autumn nodded her head hesitatingly. And my mom grabbed her shoulders. " I know this is hard and maybe overwhelming, but it has to happen to keep you safe. Ok?" Autumn nodded her head again, more confident. My mom turned to me. "Could you pick her up afterwards? I'm sure by that time you'll be headed to brunch.""Yeah I can, it's no problem." She smiled and cupped my face.
"Thank you Mija. Alright girls, I'll see you later."
Autumn waved and I kissed her cheek goodbye.
I turned to Autumn who may I remind you is still in just a towel. "I'm gonna let you get dressed. I'll drop you off." She smiled and nodded. "Alright." I walked out and closed the door behind me.I walked to my studio and immediately got in the shower. I wish I was taking one with Autumn. 'Whoah what?! No! Can't do that.'
I quickly wash and get out and lay out my clothes. I decided on the comfortable look today and tossed skinny ripped black jeans, a white fitted polo that fit my muscles nicely and my white air forces. I paired that with black accent rings and a black pendant necklace.
I got dressed and by the time I finished spraying on cologne it was 8:30 and I had to give Autumn a ride to the office. I grabbed my car keys and ray bans and waited outside for Autumn.Autumn POV
When I walked out of the bathroom and saw Ava staring at me I felt like my skin was burning from her beautiful eyes.
When she stood up and towered over me I swear I was going to pounce on her then. But then those thoughts faded once I saw Miranda. My boss, her mother, my literal lawyer for my domestic violence case. I can't be thinking about Ava like that. But damn the way she looks at me makes it hard.Speaking of my case. I'm really nervous to talk to investigators. I haven't told anyone but Miranda about my abuse and having to tell strangers just scares me.
When I finished getting ready, it was 8:30 so I checked myself out in the body mirror and headed out.
Once I got outside and locked up I turned to see Ava leaned up against the hood of the car on her phone. Why does she have to look good in everything? She hasn't noticed me yet so I'm confidently checking her out and I swear god had favorites. I walked a little closer and that got her attention. I could visibly see her eyes darken in lust from guiding her eyes up my body. Oh it's hot out here.
"Hey. You look beautiful, Autumn." I screamed internally.
"Thanks."
She made her way to the passenger side and opened the door for me. God this woman could take me now I wouldn't even fight her.
When we got in she handed me her phone and told me to dj. I put on LA By Brent Faiyaz.
"You have immaculate taste in music." She said tapping the steering wheel to the song. Why is that the best compliment ever?
