Chapter 4

                            New Roommate

Luz POV:

We finally made it to my apartment, i pressed a button on my bike and it opened up the garage where my mustang and jeep wrangler was parked, i parked my bike and shut off the ignition. I helped Amity get off the bike and got off moments after her, "Luz can u help me get the helmet off?" i chuckled "Yea" i crouched down to her height and began unstrapping it and pulled it off her head, which made her hair look crazy. I began laughing and she lightly punched me in the arm "s-shut up" she tried to fix her hair the best she can, once i finished my laughing fit i ruffled her hair even after she tried fixing it which caused a groan from her, i giggled " c'mon let's get inside" i pulled out my phone and it was midnight, i opened the door to the garage that led to my apartment, i sat my keys on the counter. Amity looked at me confused, "where is your stuff? your apartment looks empty" i shrugged "i still have to bring it here from my mama's house i just got back from new york today" she made a 'O' shape with her mouth, "also tomorrow i was planning on getting it, but we can do that for you too so you can get your stuff from the motel" she started to fidget with her fingers, "w-well i didn't really pack much, just a few clothes, toothbrush and shower essentials." i chuckled, "ok then ill take you shopping, we need school stuff anyway"she frowned, "i don't have money and i definitely don't want you wasting your money on me" i shrugged, "it's alright i want to help you" she continued to frown "ok fine but only stuff that's cheap" i grinned "maybe, BUT anyways im gonna show you to your room" she nodded and i made my way up the stairs with her following to a room on the left, i opened the door where there was a just a queen sized bed with a nightstand right next to it. There was a closet and next to it was a desk with a chair. She looked around then turned back to me, "thank you luz, im grateful" she smiled at me which made my heart skip a beat, "it was no problem, anything to help a friend" it felt weird saying 'friend'. She took a seat on her bed, "do you have any spare clothes i can borrow? wearing a dress to bed is alittle uncomfortable" she scratched the back of her neck like she was embarrassed, "unfortunately i don't have any other clothes here yet, but you can wear the shirt i'm wearing now. i normally don't wear a shirt to bed anyway" i began taking my shirt off and she quickly slapped her hands over her eyes, which i could help to laugh. "pfft its fine im still wearing trans tape" Her face was as red as a tomato and she took her hands off her eyes and she tried to keep her eyes off me, i chuckled and handed her my shirt. "im gonna head to bed ok? if u need anything i'm in the room across from you." She stood up and smiled, "Thank you luz" I nodded and made my way out of her room closing the door and heading to my room, i took my shoes off setting them by my door and slipped my pants off leaving me in my boxers. I jumped in bed laying on my back, i stared up to the ceiling trying to get tired but with school, music, and family problems it was keeping me up, i let out a annoyed groan and sat up and scooted off my bed, grabbed my cigarettes off my nightstand and walked over to the door of my balcony opening it and stepping out. I placed the cigarette in my lip and lite it, i stared out to the sky. It was beautiful, the stars twinkling just made the night sky so much more beautiful. I let the smoke exit my lungs and took another long drag. "You smoke now?" I jumped having a coughing fit and turned around to Amity with her hair down and her wearing my shirt which was definitely too big cause it looked like a dress on her. After i was done with my coughing fit, i cleared my throat "yea i started smoking like 2 months after we broke up, it helped me with the stress" she came up to me and took the cigarette out of my mouth and threw it off and i watched it fall from the balcony to the grass, i frowned. "smoking could kill you, you know?" i shrugged "sorry i been trying to quit" i turned back around and looked up to the sky again, and shortly after Amity did the same. "couldn't sleep?" i shrugged "im lucky to get 3 hours of sleep every night i guess" she scoffed, "thats not good you need sleep" i turned my head to her, she looked so beautiful with the moonlight against her pale skin, "i know, just to many thoughts running through my head when im trying to sleep" she huffed, "c'mon follow me" i raised a brow and tilted my head which she chuckled to, she began to walk into my room and she took a seat on my bed, "what are you-" before i can finish my sentence she pulled me by my arm into bed, i let out a 'oof' sound and i ended up practically laying on top of her with my head on her chest. I could feel my face heat up, and i looked to her face and her face was practically a tomato aswell, i giggled "y'know blight, if you wanted to cuddle you could have just said so" i smirked which got me a light bop on the head,
"s-shut up im trying to help" i giggled and i laid my head back down on her chest, i could hear her heartbeat it was going pretty fast. There was a comfortable silence for alittle while and shortly after i can feel her start to run her hand through my hair, i let out a hum of relief. My eyes started to feel heavy and i drifted off to sleep.
