Chapter 9

                       Practice and a Date

Luz POV:

Bosha and I made our way out of the school to the baseball field, it was a bit of a walk from the school to the field but it wasn't that bad. Every once in a while i would trip Bosha up going down the path, it was pretty hilarious. Eventually we made it down to the Field, Bosha and i put our stuff into the dugout then made our way out to the field, doing our stretches. Eventually Hunter and Eda made there way out of the dugout, Hunter started doing stretches. Then Eda spoke, "Alright everyone on the field!" Everyone now was making their way on the field, joining in on stretches, once everyone was done stretching, we waiting for Eda's instructions next. Eda cleared her throat, "So i heard there was a party the other day" she turned looking at Bosha and I, "I also heard there was a fight. VIOLENCE is not tolerated, especially if you are on my team. If you get into a fight the consequences is 10 Laps around the field and 30 Burpees after. If you don't like it then you can leave my team." She turned to look at every player, "Everyone understand that?" Everyone nodded furiously, then Eda turned back to Bosha and I "You two need to do those laps and burpees" i cleared my throat, "Eda i was the only one that got into the fight, Bosha just helped me get away from it." Eda nodded,  "Alright bosha go join the team on the field, then Luz you start your laps then you are telling me what happened after practice, got it?" I nodded and jogging over to the fence and jumping over it to do the laps outside the field.

I started my first lap doing a light jog, it was pretty nice out for it being fall. Halfway through the jog i was able to see the soccer field and the Cheerleaders were talking amongst eachother, i kept doing my light jog until i spotted the green half-up, half-down hair and smiled. Eventually she noticed me and waved with a smile on her face, I waved back and continued jogging for my first lap. Every lap i did around the field i would wave to Amity, and each lap i did her face would show more confusion on why im doing so many laps. Eventually i finished my laps and made my way back to the baseball field jumping the fence and made my way over to eda, she clapped "nice work kid you finished the laps pretty fast, now drop and do 30 burpees." I groaned and started doing what i was told. Once i was done eda smacked me upside the head, "stop fighting kid, if you keep it up you will get hurt or locked up, Now get to the pitchers mound, we are doing a scrimmage" I chuckled and nodded. I made my way to the dugout, i grabbed a water bottle, chugging it then grabbing my Baseball glove and baseball.

I made my way to the pitchers mound and Bosha was already at the home plate as the catcher, i threw a couple practice pitches and then Hunter came up to bat first, i smirked and he gave me nervous look. He got into the box and i threw my first ball as a curve ball, he missed and got one strike. The second ball i threw was a regular pitch then he hit it, the ball went flying high right over me. I made a run for it, sliding down on my stomach and catching it. I got up dusting myself off, Hunter scoffed "you just got lucky with that catch" i chuckled and we continue the playing the scrimmage.

I got the last two people out and it was our turn to bat. I took my glove off and put it on the bench and grabbed my bat, i was first to bat. I made my way to the box and to my suprise, the cheerleaders were now sitting on the bench watching. I saw Amity in the front and gave her a quick wave then put my focus on Batting, Hunter was the second Pitcher on the team and he was at the mound, he gave me a quick smirk and threw a curve ball. I hit the ball and.... HOME RUN. I did a light jog around the bases and stuck my tongue out at hunter, he scoffed in return, I got to home base and did a little bow. I made my way back into the dugout and put my bat down, i snuck out of the dugout and went over to the bench. Amity wasn't paying attention so i tapped her shoulder, she jumped and turned around, once she noticed it was me she smiled, "Hey Luz nice hit!" i chuckled, "thanks cutie, what are you and the cheer squad doing up here?" she clasped her hands together, "well we are watching you play and we are gonna doing a routine while you guys play, since we will cheer for you guys during games" i nodded and smirked, "Oh gotcha, thought you came up to watch me play" she playfully rolled her eyes, "you wish carinõ" i started to blush, then i got a tapped on my shoulder. I turned around and it was eda, i gave her an awkward smile and she rolled her eyes "you're distracted, do a lap around the field and if you aren't back before you bat then you have to do 5 more" I frowned and she smirked in response, "Alright alright grandma i'm going" she rolled her eyes again, and i started running to finish my lap quickly.
