Chapter 19

                            Prom Proposal

*2 days later*
Luz Pov:

*Beep* *Beep* *Beep*

I woke up to my alarm going off, i opened my eyes and groaned, reaching my hand over to my phone and turned the alarm off. I let out a relieved sigh and closed my eyes, not even 5 seconds later i felt a pillow whack me in the head. I opened my eyes and Amity had an innocent smile on her face, while she had her hands behind her back, obviously holding the pillow. I shut my eyes again and Amity scoffed and hit me on the head again with the pillow, "Luz wake up, we will be late for school!" i chuckled, "Fine fine, let me get around" Amity left the room to go downstairs and I got up out of bed and went over to my closet and started to pick my outfit out.

I picked out Grey nike sweatpants, black t-shirt and my jock jacket. I quickly got my clothes on and when i was done i made my way out of my room and went to the bathroom. I closed the door behind me and grabbed my toothbrush and toothpaste, i put the paste on the brush and began brushing my teeth. I spit the paste out then put my toothbrush back and made my way out of the bathroom and going downstairs.

Ed and Em were teasing Amity at the table while Alador was making coffee, i made my way over to the fridge and grabbed an apple and a water, then put them into my backpack. Ed turned to me, "You ready for the game today Luz?" Ed winked at me. Today is the day i am going to do the prom proposal to Amity, the plan is all set up and all i have to do is hit the last home run at the game and then the plan will be set in motion, i'm just nervous to mess it up.

Amity waved her hand in my face, "Luz? you ok?" i quickly snapped out of my thought and nervously chuckled, "Yea i'm fine, and Ed i'm absolutely ready for the game" Ed chuckled, "Do you know who we play against?" 'Em cut in, "I think it's the Emperor's Coven" Ed nervously chuckled, "Aren't they the team that hasn't lost a single game this season?" Alador cut in, "Yes they haven't lost a single game, but we got Luz on the team. We will definitely win this game" i chuckled, "Thank you Mr. Blight" Ed scoffed, "What about me?" Alador nervously chuckled, "Yes you too son" Em and Amity giggled.

Alador sighed and looked at his watch on his wrist, "you guys better be off to school, you have 15 minutes left" i chuckled, "Alright everyone in my mustang, i'll take everyone to school" Ed and Em had stars in there eyes and practically jumped out of there seat and ran to the garage, Amity and I chuckled and made our way out to the garage and Ed and Em were already sitting in the back waiting for us. I opened the passenger side door for Amity, she 'thanked' be and got into my car. I closed the door and made my way over to the driver side, opening the door and getting in. I closed my door and put my keys into the ignition, starting the car up.

I put my car in reverse, driving out of the garage and onto the main road to go to school. Ed cleared his throat, "Could i put music on the Aux?" I chuckled, "yes here you go" i handed him the aux cord and he plugged in his phone, it took him a few seconds to pull a song up but he started to play, 'Chihiro' by Billie Eilish. I chuckled, "I meet Billie when i had a concert in L.A, I had a job at the Oscar's red carpet and Billie was there" Everyone gasped. Amity had stars in her eyes, "I love Billie Eilish's songs, I wanted to go to one of her concerts but Mom told me "Amity you are a Blight, Blights do not go to such inappropriate performances.' " Ed cut in, "Mom said the same thing to me and Em when we asked to go together" Em pouted and nodded in agreement.

I pulled into the parking lot to the school and found a spot and parked, I turned to face everyone and I chuckled, "Well i was thinking when schools out maybe we could all go to a Billie concert and go to my beach house in maryland" Everyone's jaw dropped and they all looked at eachother, then to me then back to eachother again. They all yelled at the same time, "You have a beach house?!" my eyes widened and i gave them a nervous smile, "y-yes?" Amity cleared her throat, "Sorry- i didn't know you had a beach house" i chuckled, "I forgot about until now" Ed and Em giggled. I pulled my phone out and looked at the time and it was 8am, "we made it in enough time to get the class, let's go guys" The Blights and I got out of the car and made our way into the school.
