The School Life of a Wolf, and a Bully

The Prologue; A Pup is Born;

Somewhere in town
A woman's cries can be heard 
Those cries came from the best hospital in the country
The Healing Crescent Hospital
The doctors and nurses
Were about to make a delivery like no other
Filled with joy
But also Confusion, and Worriedness
In the cover of night, and under the shining moon seen through a window
A Pup Was Born

Dr. Collen's POV:

"Miss Calixto, you got to push harder!". "Miss, take deep breaths, this will be over soon!".
The Nurses were instructing the patient, Taking turns to calm her down.
The patient, Miss Calixto was screaming and moaning in pain.
Although this is her second time in labor, She seem to be in incredible pain.

"Nurse do you see the head yet?" I asked
"No sir" replied the nurse 
"Take over for me, I'll go check on the father" I replied
"Yes sir"

I left the labor room to go check on Miss Calixto's Husband, Gerald.
Me, Gerald and his wife are good friends, we go all the way back in highschool.
Gerald was walking back and forth in the hallway, most likely worried about his wife.
He then spotted me approaching.

"Is she done? Is she ok?" he said running towards me with a worried expression
"The baby has not come yet, I just came here to check on you." 
"She is currently trying to get the baby out of her." I added
"Why are you here then?"
"Again, I came here to check on you, I am also pretty tired.", "I barely had any breaks today, in addition to that, it's already night." I sighed. I can already start feeling cramps in my body from  overworking.
"Take a seat" I added

Me and Gerald both sat down on a row of chairs on the side of the hallway.
I felt slightly relieved to sit down on the chair, most likely from my tiredness.
Gerald must have noticed my tiredness, because he commented about it.
"You should take more breaks, or go on a vacation sometime soon."
"You gotta rest, it's not healthy for you Collen." Gerald said looking at me disappointed
"Sorry, I just have to work both as a doctor and a scientist, but I will consider having a vacation at the end of this month" I replied
"Well you should, you are overworking. maybe take a day of."
I sighed.
"Well anyways, how are you feeling today.", "Y'know, your wife is in labor for the 2nd time".
"Uh, just nervous, but I am also excited." 
"Do you two already have a name in mind?"
"We haven't thought about it yet.", "We might name him when both of us will see his face for the first time." he added

We chatted for a bit. He told me about his work for around 15 mins. I was about to leave when suddenly, The emergency alarm of the labor room started flaring up. A few seconds after that, one of the nurses ran up to me.

"SIR!" Yelled the nurse
Me and Gerald stood up immediately.
"What's going on, why is there an alarm." Gerald worryingly said.
"Nurse _____, did something wrong happened!" I asked
"Its Miss Calixto....."
Gerald's Face grew pale. I looked backed at him and noticed his hands are trembling.
"Wh... What.... i.. is my wife o..ok!?" Gerald asked, his voice trembling
"Nurse, did something happen during labor!?" I asked worryingly
"For some reason, after the baby came out, blood started pouring out, her insides were ripped out.."
"I'm afraid she might not be able to make it, She has been moved to the emergency room." she said

Those words pierced my soul.
Miss Calixto, Or rather, Jane was in critical condition.
Hearing that she won't be able to make it.....
I turned around to look at Gerald, But he had disappeared
At the same time, I could hear the nurse yelling
"Mister, Come back!" she yelled
I turn around again to see Gerald dashing over to the emergency room, the nurse followed.
I went and chased after them.
I hurried in to the emergency room, only to see Gerald clutching an terminally ill jane.

"Jane, Please hold on." begged Gerald who was starting to cry
I stood right by him
"Jane, Im sorry." I said looking away, a single tear running down my face.
"Ge..rald.... Col..l..len" Whispered Jane, faintly breathing
"Jane?" replied gerald
"Ta..k.e ....ca.re ... of... them." she whispered
"Ta..k.e... car..e. of.. the.... chil..dren.. for.... me" she said smiling
"Lo....ve ... them.... for... me...."
Gerald held her hands
"I... I promise" he replied, gripping her hands tighter.
She then looked at me
"Ple..ase.. help..... Al...ec.." she whispered
Gerald looked up
"Who is Alec... Jane.." he asked
"Our.... special.. little... baby...." she said closing her eyes
"Jane...." Gerald said..........


Time skip {15 mins later}

I sat besides Gerald, he looked defeated, depressed, His face full of tears. I stayed silent, i too felt sad. We tried our best to save her, but it felt inevitable. Her cause of death.... we haven't seen before. Most deaths that take the lives of women after giving birth, was from excessive bleeding or infection. But to have her insides slightly ripped apart. What could have caused it. I also felt like I was forgetting something....

I then looked at Gerald. 
"Who is Alec" I asked
Gerald looked at me, wiping his tear
"I don't know, Jane said he was..."
He paused, then he got hit with a realization
"Where is the baby!?" he asked
I hit myself in the head, we were busy sulking over jane's death that I forgot about the baby.
"Nurse, where is Miss Calixto's Baby?" I called 
"Oh, we forgot to tell you, he has been transferred to the lab, it is urgent that both of you go there immediately."
"What, why would... why the lab!?" yelled the father standing up
"Why did you not tell us first!" I reprimanded my colleague
"You two looked like you needed time" she looked down
"Whatever, just take us there!" I replied

We walked down to the lab section of the hospital. Both me and Gerald were pondering about the reason Jane's baby got brought down here. 
I looked over to my side.
Gerard clutching his shoulder, sadness in his eyes followed.
He then looks at me and tries his best to give a smile.
I replied with a worried and comforting smile.

Suddenly, a fellow scientist ran up to me.
"_____, What's the...." I said but was cut off.
"Sir!" he said loudly, "You won't believe what your about to see!"
"What do you mean?" I asked
He then pointed us to a room
We entered the room. I notice a crowd of scientist and doctors had shocked expressions on their faces. Me and Gerald pushed through the crowd.

It was then we saw "it".
"It" was crying.
Laying down on a crib.
I felt as if my jaw dropped seeing this sight.
I looked over to Gerald, he looked surprised, but at the same time, as if he saw an angel.
I looked back over and went closer.
Now I could see the baby more clearly.
"Wha... What...." I said
"It's.... a..." a fellow worker said
"He looks like a.... wolf...." someone added
"How could this.... be.... possible" I said gasping
Gerald walked forward.
"Is it ok if i Hold him..." he quietly said
"Mr... you got to..." 
"Let him be". I said cutting of the doctor
"But..."
I glared at the doctor who backed down getting the hint.
Gerald held the crying baby.
"I...." Gerald whispered
The baby stopped crying.
Gerald grabbed its "hand".
I examined the baby. It had canine like features.
It lacked human ears, but in place, there was a pair of wolf ears on its head.
It's face, which had a slight snout, truly resembled that of a wolf.
It's "hands" were more of paws, and when i looked closer, seemed to have paw pads.
Behind it was a tail.
And it's body was covered with white hair... or fur...

"Blue..." Gerald whispered
"Huh..." I said.
"He has blue eyes...."
"They look like....." 
"Jane's" I added
Gerald then started to cry, but gave a warm smile.

I decided to touch the baby as Gerald allowed me to do so. But as soon as I touched a whisker, It instinctively bit me. I saw blood coming out.
"Collen!? are you...." 
"I'm fine" I said cutting of Gerald.
"I'll get a bandage" said a doctor
"Wait...."
I looked back at my wound
"It's..... gone?" I said to myself
"How did it regenerate quickly?" I thought. "This isn't norma....."

I then get a headache. I held my forehead, it felt warmer than it should be.
"Doctor, are you..." a nurse asked
"I...."
I then felt a sharp pain in my body.
I felt like I was burning.
I fell to the ground panting.
The others and Gerald rushed to me.
"Doctor!".
"ARE YOU ALRIGHT"
"SOMEONE HELP HIM!"

I felt as something was forming in my rear, but i couldn't tell.
I was already reaching my limit.
"Wha..." I tried speaking but it cause more pain
The voice of everyone became muffled.
My body then surrendered, falling down.
I layed on the floor.
My eyes was slowly closing
"What.... is happening... to.. me" I thought as my consciousness was fading.
My eyes started to close....


And then it was dark....
