Chapter 9: White Wolf & Meeting the Doctor

Town Park 
Route 7 sidewalk
5 PM


Caleb's POV:

"Why is he here!"
"And why is he looking for me!"

I looked nervously at the big bulky and muscular football player standing in front of me.
"Uuuh, hi Chase!" I squeaked
"W.... What are you... doing here?" I asked
"Just taking my afternoon Jog." he replied
"And.... what is your business with me?" I gulped
"There is something I want to show you, and I think it's something you are more fond of." He said
"And I think I need your help." He added

I open my eyes.
"Something I was fond of?"
"Him needing help!?"
"Is this a setup for me to be humiliated?"
This wasn't like Chase.
Asking some weird kid for help.
Is this even chase?
I was starting to think he wanted me to do some dirty work for him, and then he will put the blame on me and get me into trouble.
"Wh... What kind of help?" I asked cautiously

Chase then grabbed my hand and led me to the side of a bush.
"I need to show you something in private, I don't want others to see it because It might end up causing trouble for this person." Chase said
I opened my eyes again.
"Chase not wanting to cause trouble for someone else!"
"He must be an alien!"
He then brought out his phone.
"Don't tell anyone about this, or there will be consequences." he muttered
I gulped again.

He then showed me a photo.
"I took this photo this monday while I was on a walk" He said
I open my mouth.
I was in awe.
The landscape of the photo was beautiful.
It was on a cliff facing the sea.
And the moon shone brightly.
Its light reflected on the being that caught most of my attention.
There in the middle, stood a humanoid wolf being.
It had white fur that shined in the moonlight, and stunning blue eyes that twinkled like stars.
I looked back at Chase with shock.

"Wh.. Where... H...How!?" I said struggling to form a sentence
"Shhh! be quiet!" He muttered
I calmed down a bit.
"This is beautiful!" I said
"But... why did you come to me?" I added
"Well, I wanted answers..."
"That's it?" I said skeptically
"Well, I also want to see it again" he muttered
"I have been doing some research, so I can try to find them again" he said
"Really, didn't expect you to be into this kind of stuff." I giggled
"Whatever... so, can you help me?"

"Well... A friend of mine made an appointment with someone similar"
Chase opened his eyes.
"Maybe that person can help us both" I added
"Is it ok if I come along?" Chase asked
"I don't know, I'll have to ask Alec." I muttered
"Oh, ok.... I guess I'll see you..."
"At 2:00Pm tomorrow" I said quickly.
"Well, thanks for the exchange..." He said running of

Alec's POV:

I am now in my bedroom, I just had eaten dinner and left the plate on my table.
I suddenly get a knock on the door.
I quickly put on my mask, and pull up my hood.
After that, I opened the door.
There stood Chase in all his glory...
"Wait what?"
I shook my head.
"Uh, is there anything you want?" I asked
"Uh, well... I was hoping to ask." he hesitated
"Ask what?" I replied
"Well, me and Caleb did an information exchange this afternoon, and he told me that you were visiting someone."
"And so, I was wondering If I can tag along.." he muttered
"Its for research..." He quickly added

I look at him with curiosity.
"Research?" I asked
"Ye..Yeah..."  he stuttered
"Uh.... sure... I guess." I said
Wait, why would I let him come.
This bitchy body, what are you doing!
"Thanks... I guess..." He said before leaving
"Huh.... weird...."

Before sleeping, I called Uncle Collen.
I told him that friends were coming over, and he seemed pretty happy I made friends.
I also told him to be careful with what he says.
I don't want them to find out about my condition just yet.... I don't want to be labeled as a freak.
He also told me he wanted to get some blood samples before my friends come in.
I agreed before ending the call, and then going to bed right after.

Chase's POV:

Its 2 PM.
I met up with Caleb who seem quite thrilled to be at the hospital.
Later, James came and he was surprised to see me.
After that initial meeting, we waited a bit more before the cutie came.
"Cutie.... must be out of my mind"
"Hey... whats up!" Alec said as he came over
"Nothing, we were just waiting for you" James said
I can see caleb jumping with excitement.
Alec looked at me and then just looked down.
He looks quite cute doing this.

We then entered the hospital.
We watched Alec disappear into one of the rooms.
He said that we should wait for a little outside.
We all sat down... awkwardly waiting.
It was too awkward to start a conversation with the two besides me.
Those two were staring at me like I was a monster ready to bring them to the shadow realm or something.
After about 10 mins, Alec came out.

"You can come in.... and please behave." he said softly.
We all got up.
Caleb rushed his way in.
We then heard a gasp.
James and I entered last.
And I would be lying if I had said that I was not shocked to see the bizarre sight in front of me.
There stood a humanoid german shepard wearing a lab coat with blue jeans.
He then waved to us.

"Hello, I'm Dr. Collen, you must be Alec's friends right?"
"Yes we are" James said
I nodded awkwardly.
I'm not friends with Alec, I was just here to tag along.
"Nice to meet you sir!" Caleb said jumping
"I have so many questions!" He added excitedly.
"Woah woah... Take your time, Alec informed me you would have a lot of questions." The doctor replied kindly.
Dr. Collen, the german shepherd, then looked at Alec.
"Would you please pass these samples to the lab" He asked
Alec nodded.
He took some tubes from the table and exited the room.

We were now left alone with the furry doctor.
"You're not going to eat ask right?" James asked sarcastically
"Why would I?" Collen replied
"Were you born like this?" Caleb asks
"No..." He replied
"If you were not born, how..." 
"It's a long story... but to shorten it up, I got bitten by a white wolf with blue eyes" Dr. Collen said shrugging.
Me and Caleb's eyes opened.
We looked at each other.
"A white wolf?" James asked
"Uh yeah...." Collen replied
"That's all I can disclosed though" he added

I bent over to Caleb.
"Do you think what I am thinking?" I whispered
Caleb nodded
"So... how's life as... well... you know?" James asked
"Oh... It's not bad" He replied
"I got heighten senses and a nice tail..."
"Although, I do wish miss my 5th finger, I only have four now." he said holding up his paws.
"Ooh.... cute!" Caleb says.

We end up talking about more sciency stuff for 10 minutes.
Alec hasn't come back yet which was weird.
"Why has Alec haven't come back yet Mr. Collen?" I ask
"Oh.. Maybe he is talking to the other staff, he does that alot." he replied
"Weird.." I say hesitantly
"Well... Alec never had friends his age before." Dr. Collen said sadly
"Because of his condition....." He added choosing his words
"He only had his family, me and doctors to talk too..."
"So... I'm quite happy he made friends here..." 

That kind of made me feel bad for Alec...
I look over to see the other two giving sad looks too...
I sighed.
The door opens.
"Hello... what's with the sad looks?" Alec says as he enters
"Oh... it's nothing" Caleb replied smiling
"Well.... I got to finish my assignment at home.... so we got to go" Alec said
"Oh... well, looks like you got to go, well, I hope you guys take care." Dr Collen said.
"May I visit some time?" Caleb asked
"Sure, if you want an appointment, you can ask Alec."
Caleb nodded

We all stood up and waved goodbye.
We exited the Hospital and parted ways.
As the trio leaved, I sighed.
I am close to my goal of finding more about that mystical creature.
...

But I also learned more about that cute and short hooded teen.
