Chapter 5: Caught under the Moon

8 Pm 
The Jinny Hotel (The name is random, bear with me)

Alec's Pov (He is only wearing shorts this chapter)

I sat in my hotel room and looked around.
The room was quaint.
There was a bathroom with hot water.
A single bed was place in the room.
There was no TV.
Huh, I thought all Hotels had a TV.
I lay down.
I was quite bored.

After having dinner with my new friends, I went here to rest for the night.
It was fun talking to them.
I smiled, staring at the ceiling
I look over to the side and see the bright moon
I started to wonder if there was any places I could take a midnight stroll
This town has a cliff that faces directly to the see just by the town park.
It's not that far, so maybe I can go there for awhile.
I stood up.
"It's decided" I thought to myself
I look over the window
Not people are awake at this time because of the big school campus.
I wanted to leave without my cover, my disguise.
I wanted to bask under the moonlight as my wolf self.
Although it's weird, It felt nice.
It calms my mind so I do this every full moon.
I scan my surroundings through the window.
I was on the first floor, so I can sneak out.
I push out the window, and jump out.

Once I got far from the hotel, I went into full stealth mode.
I was only wearing my shorts, so I did my best to avoid being seen.
I was careful.
I could easily avoid people thanks to my senses.
but avoiding security cameras were a trouble but not impossible.
By now, I was at the town park.
There were a few people still there, going for a night walk.
I did not want to risk being seen.
It could cause a big stir.
I looked around, there was a small forest next to the park.
With no other option, I head into the forest.
There was no path, so I was kind of aimlessly going through the forest with no sense of direction.
I sniffed the air, there weren't any people nearby, or roaming the forest, which meant I was in the clear.
After a few minutes of walking, there was an opening.
I head towards the clearing.

The small clearing was on the edge of a cliff.
The cliff faced the sea.
The subtle sounds of the ocean waves can be heard from down below.
The moon overlooked the spot, gleaming beautifully amongst the landscape.
It was beautiful up here.
This spot was worth coming out.
I walked closer to the edge.
I can feel the wind blowing through my fur.
It was like I was becoming one with the wind and the sky.
It was very calming.
I stood there to stare off into the sea.

"The moonlight shines, the seas are singing" I said to myself

"I hope that every night, every visit would be like this."




Chase's POV:

I was taking my nightly stroll through the park.
Running around helps me keep fit and strong.
It is necessary if I want to keep my position as the best football player on the team.
I pass by a couple who were walking along the path.
They both look like they were having a lovely time.
I sighed as I passed them.
Seeing couples makes me sad.
Noah already has a girlfriend, while Blake.... actually I don't know about him.
For me, couples make me jealous, that love bond that couples have...
I would want one for myself.

I looked around trying to distract myself from the couple.
Other than that couple, there were a few joggers running by.
They had their running shoes on.
Some were wearing hoodies.
"Hoodies...."
"That new kid....."
I recalled what happened back in class.
That kid, although sustaining a minor concussion caused by me...
He did not snitch.
He looked like the kid with enough courage to at least tell the teacher.
It would have guessed that he would since he cursed at us after Blake pushed him at the wall earlier.
I also find it weird that his whole body from head to toe is covered up.

"Weird, but cute."  I thought smiling
"Wait, Why am I thinking about some random ass kid!" I said to myself.
"Uhh...."
I need to clear my mind.
I look to the right.
It was the direction of one of my favourite spots to be.
It was just across the forest.
The place I go if I am troubled was a cliffside that faced the ocean.
It had one of the best views in town.
It was well hidden, so nobody is there at all.
It is the best place to hide if your troubled and didn't want to be found.
I know because I found the place when I was playing hide and seek with my friends when I was a child.
I ended up winning because they couldn't find me.
Although, the police were called when I came back because I was there for 3 hours and everyone was panicking to find me.
"Ah, good old times" I said.

I turned right and head into the forest.
I headed straight to where the spot was.
The moonlight would help guide the way.
I noticed something along the path.
I looked closer.
"Is that a paw print?" 
"Is there a dog out here?"
I looked around, but there was no dog.
The tracks were heading into the direction I was heading.
Maybe a dog ran from its owner, or just a stray.
I look ahead, the clearing was not far, so I continued walking.
I neared the clearing.
The spot was there.

....
.....

But so was someone else.

There was a person there in my spot.
I hid behind a tree.
Why I hid, well, what if the person was a killer and was hiding a body.
I peaked over.
....
....
....

".... Is... that..." I whispered
My mind was blown
The person standing there...
He has a Tail!
I rubbed my eyes, was I hallucinating, was I dreaming!?
I looked again, the tail was still there.
It was swaying back and forth.
I used my phone to take a closer look.
Using the zoom feature, I could see that It was a real tail.
Not one of those belts.
I zoomed in closer.
His body was covered in white fur.
His head has 2 animal like ears.
The person turned around to look at the surroundings.
He couldn't see me.
But then I could get a clear shot of his face.

My jaw dropped when his face became more visible.
His face looked like that of a dog, or a wolf.
I looked at his eyes, They were a light blue.
I zoomed out a bit to take a better view of the whole body.
...
...
...

I got to say, but looking at them was mesmerizing.
His fur reflected the moonlike giving him a slight gleam.
The wind help too, with his fur gently swaying in rhythm with the wind.
His blue eyes sparkled amongst the bright stars.
This scene was quite breathtaking.
In combination with the full moon and the scenery, The moment felt like a myth from a book.
I held my phone closer, wanting to take a picture.

Flash

...

"Shit, my flash was on!"
I looked up panickedly.
The creature looked at me, its body trembling.
"Did I scare it?"
I went out of hiding, and as soon as I did, the creature ran.
"Wait!" I yelled
"Don't Go!"
It didn't listen, It headed straight for the forest.
It ran in a panicked state.
I decided to chase it.
"Come Back!, I won't hurt you!" I yelled while I ran
The creature didn't listen.
It went faster and faster.
I tried to catch up with it, but it was just to fast, and I was running out of breath.
"Wa.. Wait!" I yelled panting
But when I looked up, it was gone.
It had already ran out of sight

I stood there, trying to regain my stamina.
I held my phone.
Checking the gallery, the image I took was there.
I looked at it again.
The photo was majestic.
But many questions were in my mind.
"Who was that?"
"What was that, or What are they?"
I looked at the time.
It was late.

I sighed.
I didn't know what to do after that encounter.
All I could think about right now was that wolf creature.
Maybe I'll figure things out tomorrow.
I looked at the moon.

"I wonder if we will cross paths again."
















Chapter Secrets: Blake is afraid of cats, especially the naked egyptian ones. He gets really uncomfortable around them. It was due to a childhood trauma that involved Noah's cat.

Chapter Extras:

Dr Collen's Pov:

I looked around
All the doctors and nurses were staring in awe.
Although they had heard about me, it was still shocking to see my being in person.
One of the nurses came up to me.
"Ma...May I?" she said meekly
I notice her extending her hand gesturing that she wanted to pet me.
I sighed
"Sure" I mumbled
The nurse gave a look of happyness
I bent down and she started petting my head.
"So soft!" she said petting my head with satisfaction.
I blushed in embarrassment
The nurse then gestured the fellow nurses to come over.
Soon enough, I was crowded by a bunch of nurses lining up for their turn to pet me.
I turned red in embarrassment.
I can feel the male doctors and nurses giving me jealous glares.
I sighed
"This will be a long day"
