James' House
Riverdale Town (Official town name :3)

James' POV:

I exited my house and then grabbed my bicycle.
I checked my watch, it was two minutes before it was half to two o'clock.
Walking on the sidewalk with my bike along with a small backpack which had some chips and my laptop, I recalled the call I received last night.
I was called as I was about to sleep because school took a toll on me.
The call was from Caleb.
He said he was in the hospital last night.
As I climbed onto the bike and peddled my way through the streets.
I thought more about that call.

~*~Flashback~*~

I collapsed in bed as soon as I entered my room.
General Mathematics was a bitch.
It drained almost all of my mental energy.
Math was not my strongest suit, and it was a challenge to even get a passing grade.
I groaned as I thought about the fact that we were having an assessment this thursday.
I could barely grasped the current subjects.
At this point, I was too tired to do anything else.
Maybe use my phone a bit, but other than that, I was wasted.

I opened my window just a tad bit to let some fresh air in.
It was a challenge since I just aimlessly flung my hand around.
After that, I just stared at the ceiling, waiting to drift of.
And as I was about to finally get my rest.
As everything began to fade to black....

RING RING!
RING RING!

"Argh!" I yelled as I jumped up from the noise.
I scornfully grabbed my phone to see who had disturbed me.
I checked the name.
Caleb
"Why is he calling me now" I groaned.
I hope he wasn't going to just talk about a new poster or something stupid.
I pressed the green button.
"James." Caleb said on the other side of the phone.
"If this is about a poster or some shit, I am end calling right now!" I muttered, "I was about to sleep y'know!"
"Please don't hang up, it's important." He said sounding a bit sad, "This time, it's not about my stuff..", "It's about Alec.

"What about Alec?" I asked sitting up, "Did something happened?"
"Alec is uh.... going through something right now." He said in a sorrow tone, "And I am not going to be able to comfort him tomorrow."
"Going through something?" I asked worryingly, "What happened?"
"Apparently his brother got drunk and ended up saying something to him and punching him." He said.
"Oh dear..." I said.
"I need you to go to his dorm tomorrow." He said, "I won't be able to because I'll be visiting someone in the hospital tomorrow."
"Sure I guess." I said thinking about me and Alec's close friendship.
Although we were friends for about two weeks, I can't help but say that he has grown on me.
We became so close within a very short time.
It was like we were fated to be friends (Uh yeah, I mean.... that's how it works - Calaxi)

"Also, one more thing before I hang up." He added, "You will most likely see him without a mask.", "You will need to keep his appearance a secret."
"Ok.." I said, confused how this has relevance to anything.
"It is a request from Dr Collen and his brother, so please respect their wishes." he said, "Also, sorry for disturbing you.", "Goodnight James."
"Goodnight." I said
Then Caleb hanged up.

~*~End of flashback~*~

I zoomed through my neighborhood on my bike.
I was nearing the district where the dorm houses were located.
Cars zoomed down the road.
A few were probably heading towards the town hall for the celebration.
I also passed by the local flower shop and coffee shop.
The coffee shop was a place that I often visited to get my deadly dose of caffeine.
Ah, coffee is one of the greatest inventions.
Zooming through, I now entered the dorm district.

After around 20 minutes of biking from my house, I finally reached Dorm House #11.
I hopped of my bike and then walked along the sidewalk.
I then set my bike on the side of a pole, then fasten it with a chain that had a lock on it.
I fixed the lock to a closed state and then fumbled the number combination on the lock.
After securing my bike, I headed for the house.
I walked onto the little porch, then proceeded to knock on the door.
"Hello!?" I said, "Is anyone home?"
I heard the faint sound of footsteps that became clearer as the owner of the footsteps came closer and closer to the door.
The door then opened.
