Chapter 1: Alec the Wolf

18 years later
Crescent Hospital Lab Room
Dr. Collen's Office

Alec's POV:

"You're all done, you can go now Alec." said the comforting voice across the table
"Thanks Uncle!" I said excitedly wagging my tail
I just had finished my monthly check up.
It was boring but at least I get to visit and talk to Doctor Collen.
He would often visit me and my family whenever he had time.
I was told my mother died from an illness shortly after my birth, and that it took my father a few years to move on.
After that, Dr. Collen would help my father raise me and my older brother.
I was different from my family.
I was more like thoes furries or werewolves I see a lot on the internet.
I had the fur and everything.

I was about to leave when the familiar brown furred german shepherd humanoid looked up at me.
"So, are you excited to go to school" He asked
"I... uh.." I looked down
"I am.... but...." I clutched my shoulder
Dr. Collen looked at me again
"Alec, Don't worry." he said
"You don't have to reveal it if you don't feel comfortable." he added
I looked up and smiled.
"Try making friends at school if you can."
"And if you have any troubles, tell me or your father ok." he added
I nodded
"I'll try my best Uncle." I replied

I noticed Dr. Collen being slightly embarrassed after being called "Uncle"
I decided to tease him a little.
"You don't like being called uncle" I said.
"I... I just think..." he muttered
"Hmff... well I guess you won't mind if I called you "Dad" right." I said deviously
Dr. Collen's face turned red.
"Wha... What do you mean by that!?"
I smirked.
"What do you think about my father" I asked "Innocently"
"About Gerald?" he replied, along with the colour red receding his face
"I think he is a good person"
"Go on" i said
"He perseveres well as a single father, I also find him rather cute..."
After Collen realized what he just said, he immediately covered his mouth with his hands, his face turning red again.
I gave him a smug look.
"So you do like my father!" 
Dr Collen looked away Flustered.
"Pl.. Please don't..." he stutered
"Don't worry "Dad"." I said opening the door to leave
"It will be a secret between us"I said winking, Closing the door right after.

As I left the room, A fellow nurse came up to me to escort me to the exit.
As I exited the building wearing my hoodie and mask, I sighed thinking about school
"Will I be able to be accepted for who I am?"

Dr Collen's POV:

After Alec left, I tried to regain my composure as I was still red.
"I can't believe that child would do me dirty like that."
I calmed down a bit.
I started poking my paw pads, which was a habit I gained over the years.
I started to reminisce those days of when I first changed.
"That boy really changed my life didn't he."

Flashback 18 years ago

"Doctor Collen, Are you Ok!?"
"Somebody help him up"
"Collen!"
These are the voices I heard before passing out.
Everything went black after that.
I felt like I was in a void for a very long yet short time.
After being in the void for sometime, I heard the sound of beeping.
Soon after, I heard muffled voices.

The void slowly turned into light, and I found myself staring into a ceiling.
My body felt stiff.
The Nurses in my room noticed I had awoken.
They looked at me with dumbfounded looks.

Gerald then came up to me.
"Collen, Are you Alright!?"
"Are you feeling well" he added
I got up in a sitting position.
"I think so" I said groaning
"How long was I out" I added
Gerald sighed worryingly.
"About 2 days."
"2 days!? Was it because I was tired" I asked
"No, its something else."

As he said that, I felt something behind my back.
I felt something being compressed under there.
Additionally, it felt painful.
"I feel something be squashed in my back."
"About that.... Collen." Gerald replied
"You might want to check your hand first." A nurse added

"My hand?" I asked
I clenched my fists and immediately, something felt wrong.
It felt like I was missing a finger, and something soft was on the palm of my hands.
I raised my hands out of the blanket.
I was not met with a 5 fingered human hand.
Instead, in its place was a 4 fingered paw.
I turned to see my palm, which had paw beans .
I noticed my arm had brown fur.

"Nu... Nurse, do you have a mirror?"
She nodded.
She did a hand signal and a nurse followed in with a mirror in hand.
She then turned it to face me.

When I look into the mirror, my jaw dropped.
My eyes were now locked on to what used to be an overworked doctor.
I touched my face and realized that my jaw shape has changed drasticly.
My ears were no longer on the sides of my head.
"Is this.... really me!?" I said panicked

Gerald sat besides me and put his hand on my shoulder.
"Hey, at least you are alive" he said trying to comfort me.
I was still rather dumbfounded and worried.
I calmed down a little.
I take in to the reality of my situation.
The Baby must have done this when he bit me.
I wasn't mad.

"You ok Col?" Gerald asked
I gave him a hug.
"Yes, thank you for being here."

Back to Present

I have long accepted what I have become.
It has given me such joy researching and studying what I have become, and what Alec will be.
"Well, I guess I should start packing, I got to move to a new lab tomorrow."

Alec's Pov
Time skip: 30 mins later

"Dad!, Im home!" I yelled as I opened the door.
I entered the house and closed the door behind me.
My dad was busy packing my stuff tomorrow for moving.
I will be studying in the same school as my brother which is quite far away.
I will have to stay in a hotel for the first night before i get my shared dorm.
This will be exciting and scary for me.
"I wonder who my roommates will be?"

I walk upstairs to see my father had packed everything.
He was just taping the boxes.
I gave him a hug.
He smiled
"Are you excited for tomorrow son?" he asked
"Maybe..." 
"I hope you make friends there, if you need anything, just call me or Collen."
"Yeah, Yeah, you told me that over 40 times now" I sighed

I stood up to.
I then jump right onto bed.
"Quick on your feet like always" Dad said
"Well, we are leaving early tomorrow, my school is a few hours away."
"Get some rest, You will have a long day tomorrow." 
Dad then left the room.
I stared at the ceiling.
I imagined what it would be like there.
After all, This was my first time truly in a real school.

I drifted off into my dreams.
Slowly but surely, everything has turned black.
In that void, i can see something illuminating above me.
"The Full Moon"
