Chapter 2: Introduction of the masked

The Next Day
11 AM

Alec's POV:

We entered the campus after 5 hours of travelling.
The campus itself was quite large.
I slept most of the way and only woke up recently.
Dad was diving, he look quite tired after the long trip.
After driving around the campus, we stopped by the parking lot.
Dad then turned around to look at me.
"You promise you will contact me if anything is wrong?"
I replied with a nod.
"Good"
"Doctor Collen should be here later so you should visit him for a check up after school."
"Wait, a minute, Uncle is!?" 
"Yes, I am surprised he agreed to set up a lab here just to check up on you." 
"He never wanted to move so this was surprising" he added 
"He moved labs" I said surprisingly
Dad nodded
"He came here so he can easily check on your condition every now and then."
"He will also be here in my place to watch over you as your legal guardian" he added
"But what about..."
"Don't worry, I'll come to visit you when I have the time, or if there is a special event I need to attend too" he replied smiling
I smiled back and hugged him.
"Thank you father."

I released my arms from my father and was about to leave.
I put my hand in the door knob.
But father stopped me.
"Son...."
"Will you...."
He looked at me worryingly.
I gave him a sad smile.
"I will reveal it when I'm ready." I said pulling my hoodie down.
"Take care...." Dad said
I then left car.
I waved my final goodbye before he left off to deliver my belongings.
I turned around to see the entrance of the school.
I paused, before I walked in.

I entered the school.
I went to the front desk.
A fairly aged woman was sitting behind the table.
She looked up and greeted me.
"Hello, you must be.... The new student" She said
"Hi...Hi.... I'm Alec Calixto" I replied
"Nice to meet you Mr. Calixto."
"I am Camillia, The desk lady, But you may call me Miss Camil" she greeted
"You missed first your class, and second class is over, so you will have to join your 3rd class."
I replied with a sheepish nod
"Your next class will be in Ms. Eleanor classroom, It should be the room at the 2nd floor."
"Thank you Miss." I said
I gave her a slight bow before I went on my way.

I am a month late joining school.
I went upstairs.
I made sure that all of my clothing was secure.
My gloves, My jacket, My hood and hat, and my mask hid my features.
My Tail was tucked hidden under my pants.
In my opinion, I look suspicious, But my Dad and Uncle informed the school before hand.
They kept my secret and told the school I had a condition or disease that needed me to cover up.
I looked around the hallway, everyone was already in their respected classrooms.
I looked around more and spotted Ms. Eleanor's room.
I walked up to the room.

Slight POV Shift
3rd Person/Spectator POV:

"Class, Settle down" Said A Tall woman 
"Today, there will be a new Student that will be joining us."
The class started to whisper among themselves.
"A new student?" a boy whispered 
"I wonder what he is like?" a girl replied
"Pity, the bullies might pick on him" a boy with yellow fade sighed
"Is he hot" another girl replied

In the back, Three boys were grinning.

Back To Alec
Alec's POV:

I took a deep breath before I twisted the door knob and entered the room.
I was met with a lot of pairs of eyes staring at me.
I put my head down.
"Welcome new student" Said the woman
"She must be Ms. Eleanor." I thought to myself
I walked up to the Teacher.
The teacher then looked at the class.
"Everyone, This is Alec Calixto, He will be joining us starting today."
"Alec, will you please Introduce yourself?" she added looking back at me.
I started to feel sweat flowing down my spine.
I was nervous.
I never really thought about it until now.
But I really never talked to anyone else other than doctors, nurses, and my family.

I mustered all my courage to speak.
"Hi... Hi, I'm Alec." 
"I am from _____ and I am... 18 years old"
"If.... you have any questions, you... can ask me."
After I finished the teacher spoke up.
"So students, do you have any questions for Sir Alec here" she said with a smile
The class started to murmur, and then a few people raised their hands.
Ms. Eleanor pointed to a girl in the corner "Tina, you go ask your question first" 
The girl stood up.
"Excuse me, but why did you join this school?" she asked
"My brother is enrolled here so I thought I should join him too." I replied
The girl sat back Down.
"Thank you Tina, What about you Shaun?" she said pointing to the boy right besides "Tina"
The fairly bulk student stood up
"Are you Skibidi oh....."
The girl who previous asked covered his mouth and made him sat down.
"Sorry about that, he meant to ask who your brother was." she said looking at me
Then she looked back at the boy and gave him a glare.
"Oh, my brother is Zeno Calixto." I said
A few gasps went around the room.
"You... You're his brother!?" A few voices said in unison
The Teacher raised her hand, most likely to signal that she wants the class to quiet down.
"Anyways, any other questions?" 
"What about you James, you seemed you to wanted to ask something?"
The boy with yellow fades stood up.
"Excuse me, but why are you dressed up like that?" he asked

I was hesitant to answer.
Luckily, Ms Eleanor spoke up for me.
"This is a personal topic for him." She said
"Yes, It may seem that he is breaking the dress code, but his parents and the doctors at the Healing Crescent Hospital had contacted the school beforehand about his situation" .
"It would be best if you respected his boundaries for now."
I bowed to the class.
Another student suddenly raised their hand.
"Uh, Yes Raine?"
A small girl with tied hair stood up.
"Does he have a disability, disorder, or a disease?" she asked
"Something like that" I replied.
Some of the students looked fearful or disgusted
"Kids, don't worry, It is not contagious" Ms. Eleanor said
"The HC Hospital explained to us it is only something "unique" to Alec" she added
the class students started whispering
The girl content with her answer sat down
"Ok so, anymore questions?" Ms. Eleanor asked.
The class stayed silent.
"Ok since no one has any further questions, we will resume our classes."
"Alec." Ms Eleanor looked at me 
"You may go sit right over there right besides James." she said pointing to a boy with yellow fade near the back of the class.
I nodded and walk towards my seat.
"Everyone, I hope you can get to know more about Alec in the future."
"Also..." she glared at the 3 boys at the back.
"Treat him KINDLY." she said firmly.

When Ms. Eleanor said that, I started to worry.
"If she said that.... would that mean?"
I thought to myself
"There were bullies here?"
I shuddered thinking about it.

I found my seat and sat down.
I looked to my left.
There was a boy with black hair.
His hair had a golden yellow fade which I looked cool.
He was also wearing a red scarf.
The boy must have noticed me staring because he turned around to greet me.
"HI, I'm James" he greeted
"You can call me that or Jamie." he said smiling
I smiled.
"Would you like to talk more at lunch?" He asked knowing that Ms Eleanor still had to teach.
"Sure." I said shyly

I looked at the board.
Ms Eleanor was teaching English.
Her lesson was about the APA Citation style.
I looked around the class.
My eye locked on James.
"Can't believe someone actually wants to talk to meon day one"

"Lets see how this day plays out"

Chapter Secrets: Names with Italics are self inserted character of my IRL friends.
