Sure, she graduated high school and went to college like any other person, but just because she went to culinary school doesn't mean that she has an incredible ego. She was a fresh graduate student from a culinary school and she was trying to get by with the paychecks she got. So, that was why Michael Berzatto had originally employed her at The Original Beef of Chicagoland as a roast cook. And yeah, it did suck, but it was whatever because it helped and she was Michael's second best friend because she was obviously better than Richie, let's be honest.
In the past five years of her life, Odessa had more anxiety attacks than a normal person and she tried to suppress it by taking puffs from her inhaler. She was supposed to be adamant to the chaotic nature of the kitchen and make every second count, but how could that be possible when orders and tickets were coming out like crazy?
And on top of that? Michael Berzatto shot himself in the head on the top of a bridge.
No note, no warnings, nothing, but most people suspected it since his whole family was dysfunctional and he was using drugs to cope with the fact that his business was running into the ground. But there could be other reasons why and it wouldn't change the fact that he killed himself.
So, Odessa was thrown into the fray when his younger brother inherited the restaurant and he had plans on changing it all.
