"After running into some legal problems, the much anticipated IPO from Donavar international is apparently getting quite the cold shoulder from investors. It's down 85% from its opening price-"

I stopped the TV and sighed, looking over at Trevante. Today was the day we found out if we were gonna get the money or not. But...

The IPO didn't go through.

So we basically did all this for nothing. I was pissed.

Trevante looked at me and said "Janet is gonna bury me under the house."

"I can't believe it. I did everything I was supposed to do. I did the research, I ran the numbers, this was supposed to be a good investment" I said.

"Well I guess your sure thing wasn't such a sure thing." Trevante said.

"It was until the judge stopped Donavar from developing their software. Dammit! I'm screwed!" I said.

Trevante looked at me like I was crazy and said "Your screwed? Mickie we loss money because of this AND Janet is pissed at me and damn near broke all of our dishes in our house."

"Trevante... I'm so sorry." I said as my eyes watered.

"I mean- You ain't hold a gun to my head. Don't go crying on me Mickie, it ain't gone solve nothing. Ain't nothing gone solve this." Trevante said, trying to console me.

"Janet's never gonna speak to me for talking you into this... And Carter gets to be right again. Fuck" I said as tears rolled down my face. "And I just hope since I was the main investor that I don't go to jail" I added.

"I'm gonna do my best to make sure you don't." Trevante said.

"Do you think Janet will help?" I asked.

"Yes. Even though she's pissed at the both of us, Janet loves you. You're her best friend." Trevante said.

"I'm not so sure anymore.." I said wiping my tears.

I was so scared. Scared to go to jail and scared that Trevante might go to jail too. All of this was my fault and I don't know how to clean it up.
