"Girl you are a mother for real, bringing your son to the shop wit you" My client Tamera said, while I was pressing her hair and I laughed.

I brought Jr with me because I literally have separation anxiety when he's not with me. It was like that when Ivory was first born too, I took her EVERYWHERE with me.

"I had to girl. He's my newborn and I just get all flustered when he's not in my sight." I said.

"Just being a protective mama." She said.

"Exactly, you get me" I said and we both laughed.

"He is so adorable, his lil cheeks" She said looking at him and I laughed saying "Right! Looking just like his daddy."

He literally has Trevante's eyes, nose and complexion. It's crazy.

Just a spitting image.

"And I love what you did to your hair, ugh if I had the money I would have you do that to mine" She said.

"Oh girl I only charge $150 for this style. Not too much, you can get this style next time" I said.

"Really?" She said.

"Mhm. Girl you should know I'm affordable" I said.

"You right, it's just lately these hairstylists charge an arm and a leg to get your hair done. It's ridiculous" Tamera said.

"Yeah I know. That's why I make my prices affordable. Not everybody got it like that, and you get more customers that way" I said.

"Which is why your shop is always full" She said.

"Exactly" I said with a wink and we both laughed.

"You're all done love" I said turning her chair around to the mirror as I put the hot comb up and she gasped.

"Ugh I love this! I feel like a whole new woman" Tamera said. This was her first time getting her hair pressed in a long time. She was getting weaves for a while but decided she wanted to have her real hair out.

"You look gorgeous" I said.

"Thank you so much" Tamera said as she started digging in her purse for the money, and she pulled out $120 in twenties and handed it to me.

I grabbed it from her and stuffed the money in my bra, and I heard my son start crying.

I looked over and said "Oh what's wrong baby?" As I grabbed him from the high chair and held him in my arms.

"Aww poor thing. Thanks again Janet! I'll see you in two weeks" Tamera said.

"See you then" I said back as she left out of the shop, and I sat in the chair, slowly rocking my baby back and forth, and I grabbed his baby bottle.

I put the bottle in his mouth and he instantly stopped crying and began eating.

"I knew you were hungry" I said chuckling, as I was feeding him in my arms.
