JANET POV
"Oh- Mom, Aunt Ruby- hi.." I said opening the front door and my mom and aunt Ruby was standing there.
When'd Aunt Ruby get back in town?
"Hi baby" My said giving me a hug then she rubbed my stomach. "How are you doing?" Aunt Ruby asked me.
"I'm well thank you. What brings you back to town? Why you didn't call and tell me you were coming?" I asked her.
"Because- I didn't know I was coming.. That's the thing. Me and your mom have to tell you something" She said.
"What?" I said.
"Lari died." My mom blurted out.
Lari is my uncle which is my mom and aunt Ruby's brother.
"Oh- Oh my God. What?" I said in complete shock as I hugged the both of them.
"I didn't know he was sick" I said.
"Well he wasn't, he went in his sleep. He was supposed to have a surgery tomorrow but obviously he won't be there" My mom said.
I took a deep breath trying not to stress as I rubbed on my stomach.
"My goodness." I said.
I just been going through it during this pregnancy.
"I'm selling my house in Mississippi, I'm planning on moving with your mother" Aunt Ruby said.
I rose my eyebrows and my mom gave me a look. I tried not to laugh.
"Come on, let's go to the kitchen, I just made some tea" I said as we started heading there.
"He was sitting in the dining room of the nursing home, wearing his three piece suit before he passed." Aunt Ruby said.
"Aww.." I said feeling a wave of sadness hit me.
"So the good news is that he went fast, and he looked good. So at least he went peacefully" My mom said.
"His fondest memories were out here which is why I had his body shipped from Mississippi" Aunt Ruby said.
"We were hoping that... You and Trevante could make the arrangements for the funeral" My mom said to me.
I looked at the both of them and nodded my head. "Yeah, sure, of course. We'll take care of everything."
I know they came to me to make the arrangements because they know me and Trevante have the money for it so, I don't mind doing it at all.
I loved my uncle Lari. I'm just glad he transitioned peacefully.
"Thank you so much baby." My mom said.
"No problem" I said.
My door bell rang and I scrunched my eyebrows. "I'll be right back" I said to them as I got up from my chair and I walked to the front door.
I looked through the peephole before opening it. "Delivery for Janet Marie Samuels" The lady said.
"Oh- Yes that would be me" I said as she handed me a long white box, and a small white box on top of it.
