TREVANTE POV
"Wassup Mickie?" I said answering the phone. Janet's best friend.
"Hey Trevante how you doing?" She asked.
"I'm good, just wanna see if you're interested in something. I'm gonna talk to Janet about it too" I said.
"Okay, lemme hear it" I said.
"I'm about to make an investment in an IPO. Donavar international, 5,000 dollars can make me 500,000." Mickie said.
I rose my eyebrows as I got silent on the phone.
"Why you so quiet?" Mickie asked.
"I mean— Ain't it illegal and a scheme?" I asked.
"Im good with that though. That's the quickest I could make the money. If we all invest we can can get 500,000 dollars per person." Mickie said.
"I mean.. that don't sound bad Mickie. I'm always down to break bread and make bread. We just gotta be careful and shit so nobody will go to jail." I said.
"Yeah. I know. I'm gonna talk to Janet and see where her head is with it." Mickie said.
"Okay- I ain't tryna be all in ya business Mickie but how you gone get the 5,000 to invest?" I asked her.
"I'm gonna lay it out to Carter, and get it from him." She said referring to her boyfriend.
"You ain't told Carter?" I said.
"Nah not yet. He's gonna be hard to crack but I'm sure he'll help. If not, I'm sure Janet will loan me the money. Don't you think?" She said.
"I don't see why not." I said.
"Well I'm gonna talk to Janet about it today and we'll come together about it. I'm excited" Mickie said and I chuckled.
"Aight talk soon" I said before we hung up the phone.

JANET POV
"Heyyyy Janet" Mickie said walking into my salon, as I was eating my lunch.
"Hey baby! How are you?" I asked her as she quickly ran over to me, sitting across from me as I was eating.
"I'm great! And I'll be even greater once I share this with you!" She said.
"What's up?" I said. She then pulled out a folder and I scrunched my eyebrows.
"I wanna talk to you about my investment idea." She said.
"Oh okay, I'm listening" I said.
"Okay so this company, Donavar international is having an IPO. This is one of those Microsoft opportunities. A chance to get it on the ground floor to a company that's gonna be huge! It's at a growth rate of 10% of the last 11 years. It has stability. And they're developing a new operating system that's gonna give Windows a serious run. If I get 5,000 dollars, it'll be trade in and close on the first day. All I need is 5,000 to invest." Mickie said.
"Wait- Is it illegal?" I asked.
She looked at me and nodded her head.
"Oh noooo Mickie, nooo. You wanna go to jail?" I said.
"I know what to do Janet, for real. We won't get caught, if we invest, we get 500,000 dollars each" She said.
"And what if we don't?" I said and she didn't say anything.
"Exactly." I said.
"Carter is already shitting on the idea, and now you?" Mickie said.
"I'm not shitting on it, I just need you to understand what you're doing" I said.
