blueberry muffins (todoroki x reader)

ch 28

today is the day of the Christmas party that Sero and Kirishima are throwing. it's being held at Sero's house since his parents are out of town.

last week, everyone in class 1-A drew names to see who they would be giving a present to for Secret Santa. it took some convincing, but the entire class was able to participate (cough Bakugo).

you drew Momo's name which worked out pretty well since you didn't have to think hard about your present. the spending limit is $20 so you got her a pack of face masks, a vanilla scented candle, a rose water body scrub, and a silver necklace with the letter M on it. the total ended up being $21 so you were proud of yourself (not including the card and gift bag).

you went shopping with Shoto the day before since he had no idea what to get Kirishima. you basically picked out everything, but made it seem like it was Shoto's idea, so he felt like he was actually getting the present, even though you did all the work.

Shoto/you ended up getting Kirishima sweat bands, a pack of headbands, protein powder, and a cringy poster that says "Better Sore than Sorry" with weights and gym equipment in the background.

you and Shoto walk to Sero's house from your house. luckily, everyone lives pretty close by each other.

once you and Shoto got there, you saw that almost all of the class was already there. you set your presents under the tree and join the rest of the group in the dining room where they're eating and setting out snacks. you and Shoto brought some cookies and brownies, much like everyone else.

Sero's house was very spacious. the living room was comfortably big so people weren't crowded.

"y/n! and Todoroki!" you hear Sero say and then walk over to you. Mina, Denki, Uraraka, and Midoriya followed. Mina gave you a hug and immediately released when an idea popped into her head.

"oh my gosh! did you guys come together?" Mina asks while pointing between you and Shoto.

"we just ran into each other while walking here" you shrug and walk to the kitchen to grab a drink. you grab Sprite and get another cup for Shoto and pour lemonade.

there was Christmas music playing quietly in the background and the fireplace in the living room was burning. it felt like something out of a hallmark movie.

"alright everyone's here! let's open presents!" Kirishima says and begins gathering people to the living room. you sit criss-cross on the sofa next to Mina and Denki while Shoto sits on the floor in front of you next to Midoriya and Bakugo.

"ugh let's get this over with" you hear Bakugo grumble. it's already 7:30 pm, almost past his bedtime!

"yay i'm so excited to see who picked my name!" Mina squeals and wraps her arms around your arm.

Sero put on a goofy Santa hat and fake beard so that he could pass out the presents to the class. most of the students sat on the ground in a circle while the rest sat on the sofa near you. Aoyama chose the recliner in the corner and hogged it all to himself.

"alright first up is... for Denki, from Ojiro!" Sero says and gives Denki a medium sized gift bag.

Denki rips out the wrapping paper like a caveman and pulls out a pikachu stuffed animal and small pikachu keychain with a card. he hugs the stuffed animal then daps up Ojiro as a thank you for the present.

"man i love it! i can add it to my collection!" Denki says, and the class turns their head.

"you have a collection of stuffed animals?" Jirou teases while nudging his leg (she's sitting in front of him on the ground).
