Laura's POV

It had been two months since my parents death. Since I was an only child I got all my parents money I was able to buy an small apartment and pay rent I moved out of the valley because it was to painful. I moved into Los Angeles and got a job at a local cafe as a waitress. I didn't have any friends I went to school and work and home that was it. I was wiping down the counter when my favorite costumer came in.

"Hey Mrs. Lynch." I cheered as she came through the door. Mrs. Lynch came here everyday for a cup of coffee and she was just the type of person who made you smile.

"Hi there Laura." She said with a smile.

"The usual?" I ask turning towards the latte maker.

"Yes two this time." She adds taking her wallet out.

"Oh bringing home one for somebody?" I ask curiously.

"No my daughter is here with me this time she should be in in a minute." She explains. I nod my head and go back to making the coffee. I hear the door bell ring signaling that someone had entered the shop I look up and see a blonde girl walking through the door. She had hair that went down to the middle of her back and had bangs. She was wearing a shirt that said I heart the band with a leather jacket with a pair of skinny jeans and boots.

"Speaking of my daughter, Laura this is Rydel, Rydel this is Laura." She says introducing me to the blonde. Rydel extends her hand out to me and I shake it.

"Well here are your two coffees and my shift is over." I say looking at my watch. I see Rydel whispering something to her mother.

"Laura do you have any plans for dinner?" Rydel asks.

"Nope I'm going to go home and heat up some leftover Chinese food." I answer coming out from behind the counter.

"Well then would you like to come over our house for dinner?" Rydel continues.

"Oh I don't want to intrude." I reply slinging my bag over my shoulder.

"Oh it's no trouble." Mrs. Lynch adds. "Rydel has four brothers so she could use some girl company other than her mother." She continues Rydel is looking at me hopefully.

"Well it has been a while since I had a home cooked meal." I say giving in. Rydel lets out a little squeal as we leave the coffee shop. We get into their car and drive to their house. We chatter about random stuff all the way there. When we get there I stop in front of their house it looks so homey and welcoming.

"You coming?" Rydel asks stopping and looking at me I shake the thoughts out of my head and nod. I follow her through the door when I step inside I see five boys running around and shouting.

"Hey guys this is my new friend Laura." Rydel says walking into the living room where they all are. They all stop and look at me. I give them a small wave and they continue to stare. "This is Riker." Rydel said gesturing to a tall bleach blonde. "This is Rocky." Rydel continues pointing to a brunette with semi long hair. "This is Ryland." Rydel points to a short brunette. "That's Ratliff he is not my brother just a family friend." Rydel explains. "And that's Ross." Rydel finishes pointing to the shorter bleach blonde.

"Hi Laura it's nice to meet you." Riker says standing to shake my hand. The other boys follow and greet me warmly.

"Hey Laura let's go up to my room." Rydel says dragging me up the stairs. Rydel's room is pretty big she has a king size bed that is white and has a black bed sheets. There is a white sofa up against the wall. Her walls are painted pink.

"I love your room." I say taking my bag off of my shoulder and putting it on the ground.

"Thanks." Rydel say slipping off her shoes.
