'Mommy'

Laura's POV

I slowly open my eyes and stretch, I look at my clock I woke up an hour earlier than my clock I set it for six o'clock and it is five. I roll out of bed and put my hair up in a messy bun debating on going back to sleep or going downstairs and risk waking someone up. I decide to go downstairs because my stomach was growling. I tip toe down the stairs and into the kitchen it is a little dark but the rising sun gives the kitchen a orange glow. I walk over to the fridge to get a bottle of water I lean up agaisnt the counter while I sip my water. I spaced out for little bit but a nosie snaps me out of my thoughts, someone was coming down the stairs. I look up to see Ross standing at the top of the stairs.

"Hey." I whisper.

"Hi." He replies quietly. He comes down the rest of the stairs and grabs his own water bottle and takes a few sips of it before speaking again. "What are you doing up so early?" He finally asks.

"I could ask you the same thing." I retort.

"Well I asked you first." He fires back.

"Why do you think?" I ask giving him a DUH look, he chuckles and puts down his water bottle. He leans on the counter with his hands resting on the counter behind him looking at me curiously. "What?" I ask becoming self conscious.

"Nothing." He replies quickly looking away.

"Look I know you think I'm cute and everything but seriously?" I ask playfully, Ross' face turns bright red and he let's out a nervous laugh. "Hey if it makes you feel any better, I think your cute to." I blurt before I can stop myself. Ross looks up at me and now it's my turn to look embarrassed. It get awkwardly silent and we both just stand there sipping our water.

Rydel's POV

I wake up and look at my clock it is 5:15 in the morning what am I doing awake. I groan and roll out of bed. I hear voices coming from downstairs so I stop making any and all sounds to hear who it is. I can't hear anything so I creep to my door and open it a crack and stick my head out into the hallway so I can hear better. I hear Ross and Laura's voices talking in the kitchen. Wait did Laura just say Ross is cute. They stopped talking I should go down there.

'No Rydel you can't what if they're having a moment and you ruin it.' I think to myself.

'They're not the are probably just standing there awkwardly drinking water or something.' I reassure myself. I sigh and throw open my door all the way and walk down the stairs. 'Ha I was right they are just standing there awkwardly drinking water. "Good Morning." I chirp making them both jump, jeez they sure are skid-dish.

"Morning," They both mumble.

"So since we are up do you just want to leave right now?" I ask excited to get moving we are going to see Laura's daughter Sofia today and I can't wait!

"Yeah I am so excited." Laura replies finally returning back to her normal self.

"Works for me." Ross Replies staring longingly at Laura. I really need to do something about them.

'They should work it out themselves' I argue 'I have got to stop talking to myself.' I shake the thoughts from my head and go upstairs to get ready.

Ross' POV

Thank god Rydel came in a broke the awkward silence between Laura and I. I don't know what is wrong with me I just don't know what to say when I am around her. Plus she said I was cute, does this mean she likes me? I need to talk to Rydel NOW. I knock on Rydel's door.
