Chapter twenty-five - First game

it's opening day bitches!
my baby just turned 6 months and he's going to his very first yankees game.

Juan's parents are coming with me to support our guy.

we get to the stadium and I dressed the baby in this super cute onesie and i wear just some simple grey sweats with a jersey and a white crop top.

you would be mad surprised on how my body snapped back after birth it's like i was never pregnant to be honest.

"Okay, we have to go through this gate" i say to Juan's parents. I have the baby in a wrap thing strapped to my chest so we're good to go.

i'm also scared because i haven't seen the boys since before i had the baby. Yes i did go to Juan's spring training games but i didn't stay for long because of the... well  baby.

The only one i have seen is Aaron but that's because of Jen but the rest is a no.

it's before the game and i have my work pass so they should give me no issues.

we walk up to the gates and i show them my id "your good guys, have a good game" he says.

We walk into the clubhouse a bunch of wives are here as-well.
fuck, fuck, fuck i'm scared.

"hey baby" Juan says smiling extra hard while sitting down on the chair in front of this locker, "Hi" i walk over and bend down to kiss him.

"there's my little man" Juan says kissing him too "dev where have you been girl" G says hugging me "hello little man, im ur uncle g" he says to the baby and moving the wrap so he can see his face. "Yea dev, you hiding from us?" volpe says coming over and hugging me "guys i had a baby calm down" i laugh.

"Devenity soto?" someone says walking in never seen him in my life "umm your new boss needs you in the media room" He says walking away.

"uhm alright" i say frowning i'm on maternity leave "Do you need me" Juan asks getting up "no just give me a minute, and say hi to your family" i say hitting him for being rude and walking away.

"Uhm D who's the new boss" i say as i walk into the media department "he's in his office, but girl why are you here? and hello my favourite nephew" "i came to cheer on my man and got sent up here, so i have no clue" "well good luck babe" he says as i walk into the office.

"Oh Devenity there you are, i am Cameron dun your new boss and head of media, i know you are on maternity but the people want you and i'm going to need you to interview some players before" he says shaking my hand.

"Uh with all due respect sir, my husband wouldn't like that. I have the baby, and i can't do anything with him" i respond a little on edge.

"take him with you but please your here so why not" he says handing me a mic and sending me with D back to the clubhouse.

"So they want me to work, can you take the baby for 10 minutes well i figure something out" i say unwrapping and handing Juan the baby.

"Uh why did you say yes, you know i don't want you working mami" "i know but he only wants for before the game, it will be fun" i say.

since postpartum was hard for me Juan is extra pushy with time off to rest and enjoy our new baby which i love but i don't have a
choice right now..

I walk out to the field and get set up "mami i have to warm up are you good now" Juan says about 40 minutes later and handing me the baby "yes thank you, i'll be interviewing you apparently in about.. 50 minutes so."
