Milani pov

I've tried to keep myself occupied, so I wouldn't have to think about or be anxious about this whole ordeal.

Luckily enough, I was busy with work, Marli's prom, Keiko's vocal lessons, and Kairo's basketball games. Keith was keeping himself busy with the kids and work as well.

Today was Keiko's vocal lesson and Kairo's basketball practice, Tomorrow was Marli's prom.

We sat quietly in awe as Keiko sung I have nothing by Whitney Houston . This was Keith's first time hearing her singing, the whole time he was smiling from ear to ear. That's his baby girl.

I was just so astonished at how good she could sing. I sat there in my mind planning out her life in the moment, that Matthew Knowles spirit was coming up on me. Keith is no different I know he's plotting too. In my mind, I'm thinking we gotta put her in piano and guitar lessons, Keith and I will manage her, we'll find an agent everything. Keiko was our ticket.

Kairo too with basketball, but how he is, he might be into finances or IT. The kid is a little nerd, who plays sports and video games.

Marli, she's into entrepreneurship, she doesn't have much of a talent. She just got the looks.

Once Keiko was done we gave her a round of applause, cheering her on.

She continued her lesson as Keith and I talked.

"So what's your answer, you leaving me if he mines?" He asked.

"Keith this the last thing I want to talk about. Here, right now?"

"Alright cool we'll talk about it when we get home."

"Ok cool."

We awkwardly sat quiet. This feels like our marriage is getting rocky again.

It's like this was the only thing he wanted to talk about. Other than that we had nothing to talk about.

As soon as we got home and up in our room, he asked again,"If he's mine are you leaving me?"

"What are yal talking about?" Keiko asked coming into the door.

"Yal don't want to be together anymore? If He's mines?" Keiko continued asking.

Dropping my hands to my side irritated, I walked off to the bathroom leaving Keith to answer.

"Keiko don't worry about it, we're hypothetically speaking, I'm asking your mom different scenarios for her response and she doesn't even want to think about any of it." He said.

"Oh ok. Um, can we go get sushi tonight ."

"Uh yea, sure. Your siblings want sushi too?"

"Yea."

"Ok." He said before she walked off.

"The theatrics are unnecessary, your reactions are gonna make the kids believe something is going on and continue to question us." Keith said, coming into the bathroom with me.

"I mean something is going on."

"That old Milani is coming out." Keith said.

"I just rather not be involved emotionally in this right now. "

"It's no need for emotional involvement within the question are you leaving me."

"Keith I don't know. It has to happen for me to know how I'll feel."

"But you know, thick and thin right?" He sarcastically said before walking off.

I just went through my hair and sighed, then got ready for us to go out to eat. The ride was awkwardly silent with exception of the kids trying to do small talk with us. But at dinner they got us right together.

"What are yall tryna do, get a divorce?" Marli asked.

"No." We immediately said.
"Yal are acting weird again."Marli replied.

"Plus mama doesn't get mad over hypotheticals." Keiko said.

"It's hypothetically speaking, but it's possible to happen, that's why she's upset."Keith responded

"Upset about what." Kairo asked.

"That's not your business as of right now."Keith said.

"Acting different around us, makes it our business. Yal actions affects us. We have to worry about if our parents are gonna divorce again." Marli said.

"It's not yall business. We will do better with handling problems in a way it doesn't affect yal." I responded.

"Yal need to do better.." Marli said.

"And be better." The kids said in unison. Something we say to them when they not doing right.

"Yea we agree, we should." I said.

"If yall love each other, kiss." Kairo said.

We looked at each other and did a playful kiss like we were about to eat each other's faces.

"Ok stop it's getting embarrassing." Marli said.

"Very embarrassing." Keiko co-signed.

"I love your father so much, it'll hurt me to be without him." I said looking at him.

He kissed my hand and said,"Vice versa."
