"Looney!!!" Jui screamed as he spotted Sak at the airport and ran to the latter.
Sak was equally excited to see his favorite phi who had come to pick him up. He had missed home and everyone here. He couldn't wait to see everyone. He was pleasantly surprised that Jui had come personally to pick him up.
He caught Jui, who had thrown himself into his arms, and twirled around his heels to keep the momentum. The duo giggled in happiness.
"I missed you so much baby," Jui said, kissing the younger guy's cheeks. He had always been the affectionate kind and his love language was physical touch.
Sak and the rest who were close to Jui knew of this and were used to the latter's antics. "I missed you too, phi," Sak mirrored the action with equal enthusiasm. He too was clingy and touchy like Jui. This was a fact that linked them together.
In other's eyes, those two would probably look like a pair of lovers who were seeing each other after a long time, rather than a pair of siblings.
By the time Nai and Zo reached them, they were already done with their 'greetings' and were catching up on the gossip.
Nai had spotted his brother at the same time as Jui. But the latter was more enthusiastic than him about his little brother's return and had run off towards the younger guy before he did. Nai took his sweet time walking over to his brother and Jui.
He wasn't in his best mood as Zo had tagged along with them to the airport. Seeing Zo's face reminded him of the fact that they just fought, a few minutes before leaving for the airport.
Upon noticing that his elder brother was also there to pick him up, Sak looked over hopefully. But all he could see was a deadpan expression on his brother's face. It was almost as if his brother wasn't happy about his return at all.
"Would it kill you to at least give me a hug?" Sak questioned with an undertone of complaint. He wished that his own brother would be at the least, half as happy as Jui while seeing him.
Nai rolled his eyes and stepped forward to give his little brother a tight hug. "Welcome back, idiot." He took the luggage from Sak and started walking away.
"Welcome back idiot," Sak made a face, imitating Nai's actions, and got smacked by Jui as a result.
"Behave yourself," Jui rubbed the area he just smacked. He didn't want Sak to push Nai's buttons as soon as he arrived.
Sak gave him a toothy smile as a reply. He was used to this situation. That was when his eyes fell on Zo. "P' Jui, who is that guy?"
Jui had totally forgotten about Zo after meeting Sak. He pulled Zo close to him. "Meet P' Zo, your brother-in-law."
"Swadee Khrab, Phi. My name is Sak," Sak waied immediately.
Instead of wai-ing back, Zo directly hugged him. "Welcome back, Nong."
Sak felt warm as he reciprocated the hug. As he stepped away from the hug, he commented looking at Zo and Jui, standing next to each other. "You two look great together, phi."
Jui facepalmed. "Not me, you idiot! It's your Hia." He said, gesturing at Nai who was already in the parking lot.
"HIA NAI?" Sak was so shocked that he forgot that he was in a public place. He never expected his brother to have started dating just like that while he was gone.
The trio held their breaths when Nai suddenly stopped in his tracks.
"You are going to get us killed today," Jui mumbled.
They only let out their breaths after they saw that Nai resumed walking.
Sak immediately turned to Zo. "Seriously? You are dating my Hia?"
"We are not dating actually." Zo chuckled awkwardly.
"Not dating? Then you are..." There were many modern terms of relationships nowadays, but Sak couldn't imagine his elder brother being a part of such relationships.
Zo raised his hand to show his wedding band. "It's a permanent booking."
"YOU GUYS ARE MARRIED!? WHY~"
Jui quickly covered Sak's mouth mid-sentence. "Sak, I swear, if you make any noise now, I will flush all of your action figurines that you have collected down the drain, as soon as we get home!"
He was well aware that Nai was not willing to tell Sak about the marriage. But he couldn't stop Zo from doing it.
He let go of Sak after the latter had calmed down.
"I am sorry, phi. I was just too shocked," Sak apologized with a pout. He knew that Jui was merely threatening him and would never do that.
Sak nodded, eyeing Nai who was walking ahead of them. "It's okay."
"But are you guys really married? Or just engaged?" Sak asked Zo curiously.
"We are married. We have registered our marriage as well." Zo admitted. He didn't feel a need to hide the matter from Sak.
"How come nobody told me anything?" Sak frowned.
Before Zo or Jui could answer the question, Sak was already by Nai.
"Hia Nai, why didn't you tell me about your marriage? Mom and dad didn't tell me anything either!" Sak wanted an explanation. It was his one and only brother's marriage and he didn't get to attend it.
Nai glared at Zo as he heard Sak's words. He had clearly told Zo that he didn't want the matter of their marriage to be revealed to his family. Yet, Zo was not paying any heed to him.
Zo looked completely unbothered, which pissed Nai off further.
"We haven't told them yet," Nai said in a neutral tone, compressing his anger. "Stuff happened and we had to register our marriage first. I will explain the details to you later."
Sak was not satisfied with the answer. He had so many questions. He looked over at Jui, who gave him a reassuring glance, wordlessly telling him that all his questions would be answered. Sak compromised and went to Zo.
"P' Zo, why did you marry my Hia?" He probed as Nai got busy loading his luggage into the car.
Nai gritted his teeth and acted like he couldn't hear Sak at all and continued to arrange the luggage.
"Did he use some witchcraft on you, phi? Or does he have something on you that he is blackmailing you with?" Sak wiggled his brows with a mischievous look on his face.
"That enough, Sak!" Nai finally snapped.
"Why are you getting so angry? I was just joking!" Sak retorted.
"Not everything is a joke, Sak!" Nai slammed the trunk shut. The anger within him was exploding. He hated the situation he was in, and he hated Zo more for putting him there.
He tossed the car keys to Jui and got inside the car. He was in no mood to drive anymore. He sat on the passenger seat and strapped himself in. He needed to cool down before they got to the venue or else he would ruin Sak's welcome home party. But he didn't realize that he had already ruined it by shouting at Sak like that.
