"That was such an asshole move from you, Lug. I thought you were there to sort things out with him!" Zo had barely managed to bring Sailub out of the villa.
Thankfully, Sak didn't want to create a scene or to alert his family. He held back Jui as well. Or else there was no way Zo would have been able to take Sailub out of the villa so easily.
"I did. He just didn't seem to like that I went there to meet him," Sailub said as he used cotton swap to clean his bleeding lips, a gift from Jui for what he did.
"So?" Zo looked at him in absolute horror. "Did you think that it was okay to molest him just because he didn't seem happy about your presence?"
"What molest, phi? I didn't want to force him or anything," Using a mirror he started applying the medicine on the cut. "He just kept pissing me off that..."
"He kept pissing you off? You are the one who is pissing me off right now!" Zo didn't even want to imagine what the consequences of what had transversed at the villa. He would have been the one who would be answerable.
"Sak is my brother-in-law, Sailub! I swear, if you ever even try to lay hands on him, I will definitely chop off those hands!" Zo wasn't afraid of Sailub's background and openly threatened him.
"Phi, I love him, alright? It was just that I got mad that he wasn't happy to see me. He left me without a word back then and now that he is back he is treating me like~"
BAM
A web of cracks formed on the wooden table in front of Saifah. The look in Saifah's eyes made the whole room go silent. Even Sailom who brought an ice pack to put on Sailub's wound didn't dare make a noise.
"You don't even feel a tinge of remorse for what you did, don't you Sailub?" Saifah's gaze zeroed down to his youngest brother's face.
Sailub who was arguing with Zo didn't have the courage to open his mouth to refute to his eldest brother.
"This is not how the men of the Wongsrisai family behave. A Wongsrisai would never disrespect their partner. Respecting your partner is a basic principle that the people of our family follow. If you can't do that, then don't use the surname 'Wongsrisai'." Saifah's voice was extremely calm. So calm that everyone in the room felt like shivering. "If Sak told you to not touch him, you shouldn't have touched him. He said no, then that means no. How could you just dismiss his opposition?"
"I am sorry, Hia," Sailub finally managed to find his voice and speak.
"The one who you should be apologizing to is Sak, not me. You better be ready to beg him for forgiveness, because this time, it is not just about you two. It is about Zo and his marriage. It is about Sailom and his future love life. I don't want this incident to cause a dent in either of these."
"Khrab," Sailub suppressed his disagreement in his heart.
"You have a lot of complaints because he didn't welcome you with open arms when you went to him, right? How can he, given everything that had happened to him?"
"But Hia, he keeps treating me as if I was one of those guys!"
"'Those guys' that hurt him were your close friends, Sailub. Don't forget that! Plus, you knew from the beginning that they were targeting him, yet you did nothing to prevent things from going down the road. You couldn't stop them from hurting your boyfriend because you weren't vigilant enough. It is a proof of your incompetency. You can't blame it on him."
"I did handle the case, Hia. I made sure that they paid for what they did!"
"When? After the whole university knew of it? The damage was already done, Sailub! Your boyfriend's name was sullied!"
"Fah, you need to calm down," Zo tried to hold his friend back. It was never a good sign to hear his friend addressing his siblings by full name.
"You are being too harsh, Fah," Sailom finally found the gap to hand the ice pack to his younger brother.
"I am being too harsh? Did you even think what would be happening if Nai or Aum found out about this? Forget those two, Sak, that child, he is Nai's Nong! " Saifah stares at Sailub without any expression. "You should be thankful that nothing like that happened or else I would I beat the crap out of him then and there."
Sailub had his head hung low. He never meant to hurt Sak in any way. He was just too overwhelmed with his emotions after meeting his boyfriend after so many years that he couldn't hold himself back.
Ever since Sak left, he had been secretly looking for him but with no results. He was frustrated that Sak didn't feel the same way he did.
"Sailub, this is the first and last warning I am giving you, if you even think of doing something like this to Sak, it wouldn't be Zo, it would be me who deals with you. Understood?" Saifah said.
"Understood, Khrab."
"Now, go to your room and reflect on your actions. You are grounded till I say otherwise!"
"Khrab," Though Sailub was a twenty-four-year-old adult, he didn't have the guts to go against his brother's command.
Saifah had inherited their grandfather's personality which made him feared by all members of his family.
Once Sailub was gone, Saifah turned to Zo. "Zo, I apologize on his behalf." He waied. "You are already having a hard time getting close to Nai and now this..."
"You don't have to apologize, Fah." Zo gave him a shoulder pat. "I am planning on talking to Sak myself. I think it would be better to clear the air between the kids than leaving it hanging like this."
"You are right. You need to talk to him." Sailom seconded Zo. "Maybe we could sort things out between them. Since he is Nai's Nong, there are high chance that he will run into Lub time and again shortly. We could avoid further complications."
"What about Jui? He didn't seem happy about you taking Sailub away like that. Which one you are going to talk to him?" Saifah probed.
"I think, I should be the one who talks to him," Sailom volunteered. "He is closer to me than Zo and I am Lub's phi-chaai."
The trio came to an agreement on the matter.
"By the way, don't you think that it's a bit weird that Lub couldn't find where Sak was?" Sailom reminded.
"Point," Zo frowned. "As far as I know, their family is not someone with a huge background nor a family with connections that would prevent Lub from getting there."
"That does sound a bit odd. I will enquire about that." Saifah replied.
