Chie is finally inside the entrance, and observes the shoe lockers and stands for umbrellas that always appear at the beginning of any high school. Darkness and rust fills everything around her, but the light that goes through the windows is more than enough for her to see clearly. She also has her right hand slightly extended with her aura lighting up, to make things easier.
_Chie: Hmm, it's so calm in here, usually haunted places feel chilly and weird, but I don't get to sense anything right now...
She goes past the lockers and stands in a hallway perpendicular to the direction she did to get inside, she watches both left and right, with doors that lead to offices, but she has a hunch that she won't find anything at either side. Then, she sees the stairs to her right, knowing that they'll lead her to the classrooms.
_Chie: ...Yeah, sensei said that the girl was killed at one of the corridors, didn't he?
She slowly walks upwards, by the left side of the stairs, to make sure she has a wide view of anything that could appear coming down. Eventually, she has now reached the second floor.
The corridor of the classrooms is empty, as expected. It feels like no one had ever been to the building before, since so many things remain untouched. It's not crumbling whatsoever, it's just... empty.
_Chie: Weird, everything seems normal. (walks to the other side of the corridors while checking her surroundings). It doesn't even seem like someone has invaded this abandoned place, why? ... Oh well... I guess people are too afraid, because a real murder happened here. Besides, thanks to Morinosuke's memories I know that supernatural stuff isn't fantasy, so this school was truly haunted for a while.
However, the exorcist seal at the entrance, it assures me that this place has already been purified, which means I have nothing to worry about right now!
Chie finally reaches the other side of the corridor, and sees another bunch of stairs that leads to the third floor. Without hesitation, she heads upstairs to keep investigating. As the second floor becomes empty again, back at the other side, where Chie came from, a familiar silhouette emerges.
IT'S RUI!
RUI IS ALREADY INSIDE THE SCHOOL, FOLLOWING CHIE!
Meanwhile, as Chie's footsteps lead her thought the staircases, she reaches the third floor. However, as soon she gets there, she stops in shock. She's unsettled, an unnerving pause begins to consume her. She sweats cold, tension is visible in her whole body... The third floor... is nothing like the previous one.
EVERYTHING IS IN RUINS! THE WALLS OF THE CORRDIDORS ARE GONE, AND RUBBLE IS SCATTERED EVERYWHERE, AS IF A CATASTROPHE HAD CRUMBLED EVERYTHING DOWN!
_Chie: W-what...what the fuck? Where am I, what the hell happened here? What happened to the walls?
She steps further into the corridor to walk through it, and confirms that all the interior walls have been broken down. This also includes the walls that used to set apart the classrooms. The third floor is more like a completely open space, with everything taken down into rubble, and only its columns, furniture, and some desks remaining.
_Chie: (terrified) This...this isn't ordinary at all...who did this? Why...why is the third floor destroyed this badly, and why the previous ones are completely intact? WHY, WHY WOULD SOMEONE DO THIS?
