Hours have passed, and sunset has begun. Chie and Rui are now on the bus back to the city. They're the only ones there, with Rui sitting right behind her. Chie is focusing on her right hand, trying to summon an aura sphere, but she's clearly struggling, and undoes it.
_Rui: Don't force it, Ishikawa-san, you already made a lot of progress today.
_Chie: (frustrated) Ugh, dammit!
_Rui: ...Is something wrong?
_Chie: Ah?
_Rui: I mean, you don't look so good right now, was the training too much for you?
_Chie: Shut up! ...Ngh... I had tougher days when I was a martial artist, this is nothing.
_Rui: Oh, I see...
Both look in opposite directions. Chie is clearly frustrated, and Rui tries to come up with something to say.
_Rui: ... But... I still don't get it, why did you quit?
_Chie: Hah?
_Rui: Yeah! I mean it. Like, everyone was very impressed by it, when the news talked about you, about winning the world championship, and you having a black belt, everyone was super impressed by you!
_Chie: ... (tense) That doesn't matter anymore. The past is death, I quit martial arts, so none of what you mentioned matters now.
_Rui: Really? But why?
_Chie: (angry) And why do YOU wanna know?
_Rui: What?
_Chie: Yeah, stop being pushy about it! Leave me alone!
_Rui: Uh-I'm being pushy?!
_CHIE: YOU ARE!
_Rui: No I'm not! I'm just worried about you, can't you see?!
_Chie: (angry face) ...
_Rui: What's the problem with worrying so much about a friend?! I am your friend, Ishikawa-san! I care about you, and right now you don't seem well at all!
_Chie: ...Fuh...
_Rui: ...
He's clearly worried, so Rui decides to stand up and SITS RIGHT NEXT TO HER! Chie feels invaded, and stands up to sit somewhere else. Rui realizes this and stands up again to follow her. This process goes on and on at least 4 times, with both teenagers moving like two hamsters around the bus. Even Rui looks annoyed. Now both are sitting.
_Chie: Dude you wanna fucking stop?
_Rui: No!
_Chie: ...I swear I'm leaving the bus as soon as it stops.
_Rui: Then I'll just keep following you!
_Chie: Are you a stalker? What the hell is up with you?
_Rui: I am not a stalker!
_Chie: Yes you are! You have stalked me since the very beginning, how else did you follow me to the abandoned school, huh?
_Rui: Hey I was worried ok?! And you should be thankful, I helped you deal with the ghost!
_Chie: It was MY matter, not yours!
_Rui: Hah?! What sort of response is that?!
_Chie: Just leave me alone!
_Rui: No!
_CHIE: LEAVE ME ALONE!
_Rui: NO!
Chie stands up once again, but this time, RUI GRABS HER WRIST!
