"Oh my god there is no way you're actually doing this, Karen." Sang was stood in the hallway like an idiot, arms laid limply against her side as she stared gobsmacked at her best friend. Karen came up with this 'absolutely smart idea' after Sang stared a second too long at their neighbours, and concluded that something had to be done – taking down the picture frames for her neighbours to help put them back up. Sang was wholly against the idea, even got to the point she was on the floor and tugging Karen's arm back to stop her from getting the screwdrivers from the utility room, but failed horribly after Karen kicked Sang directly on her chest.
Sang's breasts still hurt from the impact.
"Karen," Sang started, "you do realize this is extremely creepy and if my neighbour asked me to help them put up picture frames I'd move out and get a restraining order."
"You're so overdramatic," Karen said, taking down one of the many picture frames littered on their hallway's wall, and started unscrewing the bolts. "Even Brie said this was a smart idea — trust the women who are in a relationship."
Sang crossed her arms against her chest. "Brie is your girlfriend and would agree with whatever you'd say."
"No, genuinely." Karen held the screws in her hand and shoved them into her sweatpants' pocket. "I called her straight after I witnessed whatever you were doing to our poor neighbours and she helped come up with the idea."
Sang gave Karen a bored look. The words of 'your delusional' was on the tip of Sang's tongue, but she could not utter them as Karen pushed Sang towards the front door.
"Karen—"
"If you're not back with one of them in this apartment then I'm gonna fall and all the screws will accidentally fall out of my pocket."
Sang groaned just as Karen opened the door and pushed her out. Karen looked at Sang with wide eyes and mouthed 'I will fall', and slammed the door shut.
The urge to jump from the height of their apartment came full force as Sang stared at the closed door. What could she even do in this situation?
Sang sighed loudly and grudgingly walked towards her neighbour's brown, sleek door. She bit her lip and decided that she'd deal with her nerves later, and quickly pressed the door bell. Footsteps were heard from inside and she wrung her hands behind her back.
Feeling the bulk of her pink hoodie, she suddenly realized her appearance – her hair was loosely up in a clip and she resembled something of a scruffy student who'd spent too much time studying for her exams. Her inner distress was shortly stopped after the door opened and she was met with a black t-shirt.
Sang blinked and looked up. Staring down at her was a gruff-looking man who looked like he belonged in the stereotypical 'bad boy' clique in school; right from his dark hair and intense brown eyes, down to his black clothing he wore. She felt her breath catch as she heard the last of his sentence.
"...doing here?"
"Sorry?"
He blinked. "Do you have the wrong apartment?"
