SANG'S POV

My eyes widened when I realised that we were heading back to the beach, specifically my 'safe spot'.

Nathan's arm was around my shoulder, secured. Luke had eventually come down from the tree and was trailing behind the two of us with Kota. Him and Luke were conversing, but not loud enough for us to hear.

My breaths came out quicker the closer we got to the beach.

My stepmother always told me how bad men were and that they only used you for your body. I obviously never believed her, but now that I was surrounded with three males, six more adding onto that, I started to consider her words.

"Sang? Are you alright?" Nathan asked, worry evident in his voice. I gave him a curt nod and kept my eyes on the gravel.

"Your breaths are coming out quicker," he stated.

"Y-yeah. I know,"

He abruptly stopped in his step and grabbed both of my shoulders, I tried to fight back a flinch but didn't succeed as my head jolted to the side like somebody had slapped me.

Well this was going to end well.

He took a deep breath after my sudden movement and I closed my eyes, worried that he'd react badly.

I heard movement from the left and right of me; Luke and Kota. They must've seen me flinch as well.

"What happened?" Kota ordered Nathan. He simply ignored him.

"Peanut, could you open your eyes? Please?"

I obliged and slowly turned my head to look at Nathan, I opened my eyes and saw that the three of them were huddled close together with concern on their faces, Nathan being more prominent.

Nathan started to talk but I interrupted him. "Can we please not talk about what happened?" I asked desperately, Luke and Kota looked more confused but still held concern. Nathan seemed conflicted whether or not to drop it.

"Please?" I was begging now.

He sighed. "Yeah. I guess we can,"

I gave him a small smile and continued my way onto the beach.

I didn't miss the way they stayed a couple seconds behind before following me.

I decided to wait for them to come out of the little woods. I didn't want to feel like a weirdo going to the spot without one of them. The other boys there would've probably questioned me on why I was there; I would've frozen up.

I must admit that the walk to the spot was awkward. I didn't want to talk, same with Nathan, and Luke was the only person talking - mostly to himself. Kota was probably in dream land or something because he didn't give Luke a second glance if he said something to him.

Did I really make things uncomfortable between the three of us?

Maybe that's why I didn't have a lot of friends... minus the sheltering stepmother... I was too awkward for my own good, people must've thought I was weird.

"Do you think I could get my stash from the car?" Luke asked innocently, I looked at him in confusion.

His eyes widened. "Not that kinda stash! I meant my candy stash,"
