3. His Age

Kanoko and Kaede cried for a few minutes before they went to the room where Hiroki is being kept. They didn't know how they would be able to enter and talk to him due to how he had acted when he saw them. Not to mention the words of the doctor and his new anxiety alongside fear of others as well.

"M-Mom, I didn't... I never..." Kanoko said with tears as she sniffed as the words of the doctor were replaying in her mind as she stood in front of the door.

Kaede just looked at her daughter and stayed silent as she didn't know what to say. A part of her wanted to comfort her daughter, but then another part of her is angry at her daughter for saying those things about her brother.

Kanoko who didn't hear any words from her mother looked at her and Kaede averted her eyes from it. Kanoko's eyes widened at that as she whimpered and held her mother's hand with her own two hands as Kaede sqeezed in turn.

Kanoko let out a shuddering breath as she felt her mother's hand, the reaction of Hiroki still in her mind as she wondered what will happen when they entered the room. A part of her dreaded what she will see, but another part of her wanted to see him again.

Her little brother Hiroki, the one she had sworn to protect. The one she had hurt due to being blinded by lust as she was with his bully, even if they had a deal, she couldn't shake the face her little brother made when he had saw her.

Kaede was also the same as she felt haunted as she looked at the door to her son's room. She hadn't expected her son to react like that when he awoke up, she hadn't expected him to even go unconscious considering how outgoing he was.

She was also surprised when Kanoko, her daughter had insulted him when he had asked about them. Sure she had sex with Kokujin, but it was all to be done under secrecy, without her son even knowing about it.

And now he does know about it and her own daughter insulted him, and now he has social anxiety alongside fear of people and greater fear of women as well. And if his previous reaction to them was anything to go by, then she doesn't think that he will be able to look at them without any problems.

She hoped he would look at them without screaming though, even if she had seen how he had acted, she wanted her son to look at her with the kind smile with which he would greet her, the flustered and shy expression was also welcome. She didn't want to see the look of fear her son had directed towards her.

Kaede gulped as she stood in front of the door as she wasn't able to find the strength to open the door and enter the room. As she was thinking about what to do with her daughter beside her, a nurse came towards the room and saw them as she looked at them.

"Are you two Hiroki Mori's family?" The nurse asked as the two looked at her.

"Yes. I'm his mother and this is his sister." Kaede said to the nurse with a nod.

"Well, I hope that he will be calm when he sees you miss. He wasn't exactly at the best of states." The nurse said as she looked at the door with a sad face.

"I-I see." Kaede said as she tried to control herself.

"If I may ask, how old is your son exactly?" The nurse asked the mother as Kaede looked at her.

Kaede and Kanoko looked at each other at that. That single question causing them to remember a crucial thing about Hiroki as their eyes widen as horror set in. Kanoko looked down while Kaede looked at the nurse.

"12... Hiroki is... 12." Kaede choked out as tears fell from her eyes.

"He's only 12 years old? Poor child. Why would a boy this young have these symptoms?" The nurse said in a grave tone when she heard that.

Kaede and Kanoko heard her as they felt their jaws tighten as they knew the reason, though that reason is hardly something that they can talk about freely. But the realisation also set in for them when the nurse had asked them the question.

'Hiroki is only 12... He hasn't even become a teenager yet. And yet I... How could I say those...' Kaede thought to herself as she wanted to cry.

'Hiroki is just 12... Why did I compare him to that guy? Why did I insult him? The guy is much older than Hiroki, so of course he would have a small body... Why didn't I think about that?... Hiroki is just...' Kanoko thought to herself as she felt tears flow down her cheeks.

The nurse saw their reaction and felt bad at seeing the two. But she knew that she couldn't talk to them more as it would be private territory and even if she is a nurse, she has no authority to intrude on that.

"You both have my condolences. I can only wish you good luck and hope that you will be able to help your son and brother." The nurse said to them as she gave them a bow and walked away.

Kaede and Kanoko didn't register the nurse walking away as the reality of his age was back in the forefront of their minds as they remembered it. Kanoko held her head as tears fell down her eyes.

"That bastard... Why did I start to compare Hiroki with him?" Kanoko muttered to herself as she cried a bit.

"Oh what have I done?" Kaede whispered to herself as tears fell down her eyes.

They wondered why they had thought about that. And they remembered how Kokujin would ask them about how the two compared whenever they had sex and they would say that he was the best. Not really thinking about anything as they did it.

And they realised that they haven't been thinking clearly as the reality of Hiroki's age hit them like a freight train as they stood beside his room and cried.

A/N: So, one of the people said that Hiroki is 12 according to the author of the doujin. I also looked at a reddit which seemed to confirm it. So yeah, the author is pretty messed up.d

Which also brings into question Kokujin's age cause I'm pretty sure he can't be a 12 year old. Then the fact that Nao is likely 12 as Hiroki with Ayumu being 11 if we are to follow the author.

Damn the author is messed up. What do you guys think about that?
