Everything surrounding me was blue. I held tight onto Five's hand. I didn't know what would happen if I let go. I shut my eyes tight, waiting for something to happen.
I let out a scream as I fell to the ground. I groaned, sitting up. Five sat next to me, carefully getting up. I helped him get up as I looked at the blue cloud above us.
"Luther! Diego!" Five yelled.
Then the cloud shut, leaving us two alone in an alley way.
"Where the hell are we?" I breathed and looked around.
I heard gunshots and saw soldiers running past the alley with a tank. The soldiers spoke Russian. I held Five's hand as he stumbled over, reading a newspaper.
""Soviets attack us"?" He whispered. "No this can't be right."
"Five, what the hell is happening?" I asked.
He didn't answer. He only looked around at everything. The soldiers voices overlapped each other as gunshots ricocheted off walls.
"Hey, kid! Get down!" A man yelled at us.
"What the hell did we do now?" Five asked himself.
The tank gun next to us shot, causing Five and I to fall over. Ringing in my ears made me cover them as I tried my best to get up. I looked up only to see Vanya in the air and Klaus walking next to her.
He opened up his hands and blue soldiers emerged from behind him. As someone was about to launch a missile at Klaus, Luther jumped in. On top of a building, Ben had been taking out soldiers with his elderich tentacles. Allison appeared behind some soldiers.
"Hey! I heard a rumor that I blew your minds," she said, causing the soldiers heads to explode.
Diego stood on top of a turned over car. Once the soldiers began shooting, he jumped off the car, twisting as he sent the bullets back at them. He landed and looked over at us.
"Lily! Five, you sick son of a bitch where the hell have you been!?" He shouted.
As Five was about to run into battle, a hand on his shoulder stopped him.
"Hazel?"
"If you wanna live, come with me," he told us.
"Hazel. What the hell's going on here?" Five asked.
"There's no time to explain," he told us, pointing to the sky. "Those are nukes, old-timer."
We looked up in the sky and saw missiles plummeting downwards.
"What about our family?" Five asked.
"Can't save 'em if you're dead," Hazel responded.
Five held my hand and he went to shake Hazel's. With the simple touch, we were transported back in time. We looked around at the peaceful atmosphere.
"Are you okay?" Five asked me.
I nodded, still in shock by everything that had been happening.
"Okay... what the hell was that?" Five asked.
"The end of the world, November 25, 1963," Hazel informed us.
"'63... you know, Hazel, I'm no history buff, but I don't recall there being a nuclear holocaust."
"No shit."
I sighed. "And did we cause it... again?" I asked.
"What do you think?" Hazel tilted his head.
"What about our family?" Five asked.
"Dead. Like everyone else," he told us.
"And where are we now?"
