"Honestly cah believe mi finally reach Portland." The drive was long, but the breathtaking scenery and atmosphere made worth it. I had never been to this parish before, but I had heard great things. The resort was stunning, and I felt like I was in another country.
"You like it?" he asked.
"Definitely," I replied, still taking in the sights. We entered the resort, and some of the workers greeted us as we made our way to the receptionist, who was already eyeing me before I even noticed her. She was beautiful and well-put-together.
"Hi, Mr. Verlice, great to see you again." She smiled at Nico. "Hello, miss," she greeted me.
"Hi."
"Your grand suite is ready and waiting for you, sir." She handed him a pass, her hand lingering on his a bit too long. I frowned, thinking maybe I was reading too much into it.
"Also, a lady came by to meet with you, but she left and said she'd return soon."
"Thanks. When she comes back, have her call me." She nodded.
"Have a great day, sir."
"You too, Tracey." I rolled my eyes. We headed to the elevator, and Nico pressed the number 2 button.
"So, yuh familiar with this place?"
"Yeah. One of my favorite spots; I escape here whenever I get the chance."
"Oh, I'm jealous."
"Why?"
"Because you get fi enjoy places like this." He smiled.
"Any time mi go on mi getaway, I will take you with me. How that sound?"
"I'd love that, to be honest." Even if I have to take time off work, I won't miss out on exploring beautiful places like this.
I smiled as we entered the room. The resort suite was breathtaking, with luxurious decor, a comfy bed, and a spacious balcony offering a stunning view. I could already imagine unwinding and rejuvenating. This is a wonderful getaway spot.
