"And wah your response to that?" Jada glarde at me, waiting for an answer. We were on the topic of Nico, and she wanted me to fill her in on what has been going on between us. I may have slightly painted a bad image of him when telling her about the incident with Shan.
"I did say it unfair fi him say that." I defend myself but the look she is giving me says that is not a good enough respons.
"And..."
"..."
"Talia, yah idiot eno." She shook her head.
"Is not like me never know him a talk to other women from the get go."
"Yes, but fi him a tell you say yuh cah talk to nobody else is controlling, you don't notice the similar patterns?" She is right.
"Ye I guess. " I say.
"So you alright with it?"
"No, not really." I admit.
"And yuh nuh plan fi low him out either?" I sigh.
"Him treat me well, plus... him good ina bed."
"Alright sister, if you content, me nuh need fi say nothing else." I rolled my eyes.
"Weh yuh wah me do, stop deal wid him?"
"Yah big girl, yuh must know weh yuh wah fi yuh self Talia." I know she is trying to make me feel bad, but won't straight up tell me she disagrees with what am doing.
"For now, mi a soak up the attention I can get." I say whole heartedly. She wanted to say something else to me, but I notice she decided not to.
"Just say it."
"Yuh can do better, yah nice girl and nothing nuh do yuh, suh mi nuh know why yah settle fi something like this."
"It's a for now thing, Jada."
"I hope suh." She then stood up. "Come, mek we see weh them a do over deh so." She gestures to her family not too far from us.
Besides from me and Jada, there were 29 other individuals that were here with us. The trip was Jada's mother and aunts idea, and from the looks of things, everything was planned out and in order.
"Pinky mi nah lie, me love how yuh put on weight fava smaddy." Her aunt says when we neared them.
"All when mi did mawga mi look good." Jada says, grabbing one of the sodas they brought in a igloo.
"A lie yah tell, mi couldn't stand fi see yuh mawga batty ina the piece a shorts them yuh use to love wear." Her aunt Tracey reply and I try to suppress a laugh.
