My hand shivered slightly. 'Am I a ninja? I am weak and useless at everything. Would I be of any help to him? Why do I hesitate? Was everything I experienced until now all useless? Why do I feel so heavy?' -I thought as I looked at his desperate eyes. My breath hitched when he asked if I was a ninja. I could feel the hair at the back of my neck stand up as I feared if I was really the one who could help him.
"I could try. If it's too bad, let's take her to the hospital, okay? So, where is your house? I'll carry you, we'll get there quicker." I said as I let him climb on my back. He pointed to the direction of his house as I used my chakra to run and jump over all obstacles and jump from roof to roof. As soon as we reached his house, he got off my back and pulled me to the room his mother was in. Her condition was bad. She had a severe fever and many symptoms of an infection. I ushered the boy to get some fresh, dry, and wet towels.
While he was outside the room, I lifted up the clothes of the mother to view her stomach. She had a huge cut on her stomach. It looked like a stab wound. I did not have the time to think about how this happened, so I started to do a basic check-up on her that I learnt from the medical books I read in the lonely, boring days spent in the library. I realized that the woman was a ninja, and her chakra was at a very low level. I placed my hands on her abdomen and started the transfusion of my chakra. My hands were glowing green. I had only done this once when a ninja was about to faint. He had been lying on the ground under the tree I used to play at. He had thanked me and then left. At that time, I had only used my knowledge obtained from reading medical books and from seeing the nurse heal a huge gash on my mother's arm that one time my mother fought off a robber to protect me.
