4. The Wierd Chicken Ladies

I woke up the next morning with a stiff back,so I decided to go for a jog. I changed and went outside. It was still very early. The sun had just started rising. I run for about 10 minutes when I got tired and went to the lake. The water was cold when I dipped my toe in, but I didn't mind. I sat down with both my legs in, looking at the sky, when I heard a rustle in the trees behind me. I quickly got up and stood completely still. 2 figures came out of the shadows. They looked like old lady's, but not the ones with cookies and knitted scarves. No, these had razor sharp teeth and long claws. They also resembled chickens for some reasons.

I decided to run away, but unfortunately they followed. I sprinted through all the cabins, looking for a place to hide. Then I heard a voice by the Poseidon cabin, calling me over.

Percy's POV (bet you weren't expecting that!!)

I had another nightmare tonight. The same one I've had this whole week. I decided to go to the river to clear my mind. You could see a small part of the sun sticking out the sky, so it was still early. I sat peacefully until I heard heavy footsteps behind me. I saw Luna being chased by the harpies. She looked absolutely terrified so I decided to help her. I called to her and she came running towards me. ''OMG Percy! Those chicken lady things are trying to kill me!" shouted Luna between breathes. The harpies were a few metres away so I pushed her in the water and then dived in after her.

She had a panicked look on her face and started flapping her arms around wildly. 'OMG Percy, you idiot! I don't think she can swim!' I mentally screamed at myself. I grabbed her arms and put an air bubble around us.

She was still flapping her arms wildly and I tried to calm her down. "Luna. It's OK. You can breath!" She stopped struggling and took a deep breath. Her face was priceless and I couldn't help laughing. She, however, was not amused and punched my arm. "It's not funny Percy. I was freaking out! What were those things?" asked Luna.

"Those were harpies. They patrol the camp during night to make sure no-one is sneaking around"

"How can Chiron let those things just walk around!?"

I shrugged and looked up. The harpies weren't there anymore so I swam to the surface with Luna. She was soaking wet and shivering. I touched her and the water disappeared. She widened her eyes, but didn't ask any questions about my powers. "Thanks so much Percy!" said Luna. "No problem Sis".

"Sis?" asked Luna. "Yip. You're like a little sister to me. Is it OK if I call you that?" She smiled widely and gave me a hug, before walking away. The sun had already risen so I went back to my cabin to get ready for breakfast.

This is more of a filler, but I will update shortly. Before anyone asks, there is no romance between Luna and Percy. Percabeth forever! Please comment.
