I went to the dining pavilion with a skip in my step. I'd never had a brother before and was happy that Percy saw me as a little sister. I'm already loving life in Camp Half-Blood and I haven't even been here for a week.

It was still early in the morning and many people were still asleep. I sat down at the Hermes table and began eating. I looked around for someone to talk to, but then realized that I didn't have many friends other than Percy, his friends and Chelsea. None of them were at the pavilion so I decide to talk to the brown haired girl sitting next to me who happened to be the only person at the Hermes table.

"Hi, I'm Luna"

The girl looked surprised that I had spoken to her, but reluctantly replied.

"Oh, hi. I'm Katherine but everyone calls me Kat". Kat had a very small voice almost not audible at all. 'She's probably shy' I thought.

"Cool. So what do you like doing around here?"

"Lots of things, but the pegasus riding is my favourite!" Her eyes visibly lit up as she explains how to ride a pegasus and the different types. I was also a bit excited. I've always wanted to ride a horse.

"That's amazing. I would like to ride one"

"Actually, after sword fighting, the Hermes cabin is going pegasus riding. I can show you there."

"Awesome!" I was really excited, when I realized something.

"Kat. I don't have a sword."

"That's OK. We can ask Annabeth if she can get you one."

We quickly finished breakfast and headed to the Athena cabin. Annabeth wasn't there so we tried a couple of other places. We eventually found her at the river...with Percy (*wink* *wink*) They looked like they were in a deep conversation when I interrupted.

"Annabeth, sorry to interrupt, but can you help me find I sword?"

"Sure. There's an old tools shed next to the Athena cabin full of weapons."

I said bye to Kat and agreed to meet her at sword fighting and followed Annabeth. The shed looked like a normal gardening shed, but in the inside were weapons of every kind. Annabeth started handing me random weapons and asked me to try them out. I tried many swords, daggers, spears and even a fork once, but nothing seemed to be working.

We were just about to give up when something started glowing in the corner. Annabeth and I walked into the corner and pulled out a box. The box had moon carvings, that glittered in the sunlight.

"I've never seen this box before, but it looks so old and dusty. Like it's been sitting here for years" said Annabeth. The lock started to glow and I reached over to touch it. The lock opened as soon as my finger came in contact. Inside the box was a silver dagger. I picked it up and tested it out. The grip fit my hand perfectly and it was very light.

"I think I found my new weapon!"

I looked at the dagger one more time before putting it in my belt which Annabeth gave me. It was noon by the time we were done. I had sword fighting, so I headed to the Arena.

Most of the Hermes cabin were there already so I walked up to Kat.

"Luna! I was starting to get worried. Did you get a weapon?" I showed her my dagger.

"That's pretty cool. I think you should go to Percy. He will help you out."

"Wait. Percy is teaching sword fighting?" I was slightly surprised. He didn't look like much of a teacher.

"The other guy who used to teach sword fighting turned bad" She looked down and everything seemed to turn dark. All these questions were running through my mind but Kat interrupted my thoughts.

"But hey! Percy is the best swordsman I've ever seen! He's not a complete nut case.." This seemed to brighten the mood a bit, which I was grateful for. I walked to Percy who was helping some younger kid hold is sword right. He left the kid and walked my way.

"Sis! Glad you could make it. You will be training with Jason 'cause your a beginner. He's on the left side of the Arena. Good luck!" With that I walked to Jason. Jason then taught me some basics on how to hold my dagger and stuff and then got his sword. He would be going against me to see how good I was.

"Have you ever fought before?"

"Only karate and stuff. I've never used a weapon" I explained. He gave a quick nodded and started walking in a circle around the Arena. I started circling as well, which meant the fight has begun.

We circled for a little longer until I made the first move trying to cut his side with my dagger. He blocked easily with his sword and made a small cut on my arm. It hurt like Hades, but I was not ready to give up yet. He tried going for my upper body, but I ducked and cut his leg. We fought like this for a while, only managing to make small cuts on either our arms or legs. We were pretty exhausted and a small crowed had formed.

While I was distracted , Jason tried getting my side but I back flipped and almost landed on my feet when he tripped me. I landed on my back. Jason brought his sword down to my neck, but he hadn't won yet. I twisted my left leg around his and pulled, bringing him to the ground. He, unfortunately, got up before me and when I got up, he brought his sword down to my head. This would have killed me instantly, but luckily I brought my dagger up and swung his sword to the left. It flew out of his hands and to the other side of the Arena. I then turned around and kicked him against the chest. He fell flat on his stomach, but before he could get up, I sat on him and put my dagger under his chin. I won!

The whole crowed burst into cheers, some looking very shocked and others giving each other money. They bet on me?!

"Luna! Your absolutely amazing! You could almost be as good as Percy!" said Annabeth, giving me a bone crushing hug.

"Hey! I'm right here!" shouted Percy with a pout. We all started laughing. Percy can be so stupid at times.

"But seriously though. You were pretty amazing. I didn't know you could fight like that." said Jason.

"Honestly. I didn't know either." I looked around for my dagger when I felt a tingling around my neck. A new charm formed on my necklace. It looked exactly like my dagger. Everyone was staring at me now and I felt quite awkward, but luckily Kat came to my rescue.

"OK everyone! Clear off. Come on. Let's go to the pegasus stables." Kat and I then spent the rest if the afternoon with the pegasi and preparing for capture the flag, which was tonight. I hope everything goes well...
