9. Birthday Witches (Part 1)

I woke up to the sounds of "Happy Birthday" being called. I almost forgot. Today was my birthday! I shot out of my bed grinning from ear to ear. Everyone in the Apollo cabin was up. Next to my bed stood Will, Percy and Kat. Jason, Piper and Leo were also here. I don't know where Annabeth or Grover is though.

Before I could say anything, Percy shoved his present in my hands. It was wrapped in blue and silver paper with a blue ribbon. Inside was a beautiful blue bracelet with wave patterns. "Thank you so much Perc!" I shouted while giving him a gigantic hug. He chuckled and muttered a small 'no probs'.

A few hugs and mountains of wrapping paper later, everyone had given me their gifts. I got a charm from Kat and Hermes that can allow me to sprout wings when I touch it (which might not be very useful since I'm afraid of heights), a picture frame with a picture of all the Apollo kids in a group from Will and the Apollo cabin, a new pouch for my dagger from Leo. (Long story short, my old one got burned during a capture the flag game). Jason and Piper just got my a cool new outfit since they didn't know me that well.

By the time I was done it was already 9 o'clock and most of the people had already left for their morning activities. I didn't feel like getting dressed so I decided to go to breakfast in my pj's. Hey! I'm 11, remember!

I got out of bed and headed to the door, when I got grabbed from behind and flipped over someone's shoulder. I wriggled and kicked, but the person didn't let me go. "There's no point struggling! I'll just tighten my grip!" I was totally freaking out until I heared the 'strangers' voice.

"Percy, you piece of barnacle poo! Put me down this instant, or I swear to Tartarus I will take my arrow and stuff it in your-"

"Okay, okay! NO need to get feisty" said Percy who then put my down. I was just about to turn around and give him a piece of my mind when someone covered my eyes. "Guys! This game is getting boring, can you just leave me alone" I asked with agitation. "Nope. Just trust me okay!" This voice was not Percy's but Annabeth's. "Fine" I sighed and pouted. The lead me through the camp going in the opposite direction of the dining pavilion. I have a feeling where they are going. Suddenly the hands got lifted.

"Surprise!"

Right in front of me was the new Artemis cabin. It looked absolutely amazing with silver walls, Greek pillars and different carvings all around. They must have been working on this all night because I don't remember this being here yesterday. "Guys, this is amazing. I can't believe you stayed up all night finishing this".

"You haven't seen anything yet. Go inside" said Annabeth with a huge grin on her face. I opened the door and was completely blown away. There was already furniture inside. Most of it was silver or a light purple. The walls were also silver like the outside. It didn't look metallic or dead, but very comfortable. I then went in one of the doors which happen to be the bedroom. My things were already in there. Then I went up a flight of stairs which lead to the roof. On the roof were a couple of beach chairs with different coloured plants all around the sides. "The plants are from Grover, the nymphs and the Demeter cabin" said Annabeth.

"Omigods! Thank you all so much..I..I don't know what to say." I was totally speechless. Annabeth came up to me and gave me a hug "There's no need to say anything. Just take your time, look around and get dressed, we'll wait for you at the pavilion. And Happy Birthday!!" Everyone then left me to get dressed.

I looked around for a few more minutes before getting changes into a CHB shirt and jeans, not forgetting my necklace. I then exited the cabin to get some breakfast.
