7. Some Catching Up to Do

"All hail Luna, daughter of...Artemis?" The announcement sounded more like a question than a statement and sure enough, the symbol above my head was a moon.

A blinding light then spread over the forest and I had to avert my eyes. When I looked back, two figures were standing in front of me. The first was a man with tanned skin, blonde hair and blue eyes. His smile was as bright as the sun. This was the god Apollo.

The second was a women who looked like an older version of me. She had my curly black hair and eyes that shined like the moon.

"Mother?" I asked with hope.

"Yes child, I am your mother," said the woman with a motherly smile.

My brain started going haywire with questions. 'Why did she leave me' 'Did she even care about me'. The woman then spoke again.

"I'm sure you have a lot of question and I promise to answer all of them, but first, let us go to a more private place" I then noticed the huge crowed that had formed and nodded my head. Artemis then lead me to the big house and I took a seat on the couch opposite the fireplace.

"I am ready to answer any questions you have"

"First of all, how am I your child. I thought you were a virgin goddess?"

"I am still a virgin goddess, just as I vowed, but I wanted a child of my own. I spent years looking for ways to get one without a male and I finally found a way. I made you using my mind, the same way Athena did. I, however, struggled a but more than Athena, because she was born that way and I wasn't. I eventually asked for help from 2 other gods. They put in some of their own power to make you, therefore, in some ways, they too are your parents"

My mind was blown. I didn't know what to say. I didn't even know they could make children like that!

"Who are my other two parents?'

"One is Apollo. The second will be revealed to you in due time."

"What powers do I have?"

"Most, you have already found out. The first would be from both Apollo and I. The gift of archery. You will always hit a bullseye no matter what. Your speed, strength and swiftness during a fight comes from me. Your ability to control light is obviously from Apollo and your ability to summon wolves is from me. Others will be found as you grow stronger and when you find out about your third parent" answered Artemis.

"What about my necklace?"

"Ahh yes. That was from me. Any weapon or tool you use can be kept in there. Just touch it and think about what you need" said Apollo

"So there will be a charm for every weapon or tool I use? That will get pretty heavy"

"You're right, I'll fix it" said Apollo

Apollo then touched my necklace and both charms mixed into one silver moon charm. (IMAGE)

"Same rule applies. Touch it and whatever weapon or tool you want will appear. You can only use one at a time until you get stronger."

I thanked him and tried to stifle a yawn.

"Well someone's tired. Enough questions. You need to sleep, Chiron says that you can sleep in the Hermes cabin for one more night and then move into the Apollo cabin until the Artemis cabin is built"

I nodded, thanked them one more time and then went straight to bed, tomorrow would be a busy day.
