After getting changed I headed to the pavilion and sat with the Apollo cabin. Will was there too! I ordered eggs and toast. As a started eating a brown speckled owl flew above my head and dropped a letter millimeters away from my breakfast.

I looked to the Athena cabin, since their mom's sacred bird is an owl, and they looked as confused as me. The letter looked 100 years old with neat cursive writing. The whole camp was quiet as I opened it:

First of all, what's a 'Dumbledore' and second I'M A WITCH! This must be some kind if birthday trick from the Hermes cabin or maybe the Ares cabin was just being mean. I mean, me, a witch. The only kind of magic I made was when I got sick and couldn't get out of the bathroom for a week. And I'm pretty sure that's not the kind of magic they mean.'

"Luna are you okay. You look like you've seen a ghost" said Will with a look of concern. Before I could answer I jumped up and sprinted to the Big House. When I reached the house I swing open the door expecting Chiron to be alone, since most of the camp was in the pavilion. Instead he was sitting by the fire place and next to him sat a tall woman with dark hair.

"I'm sorry for interrupting. I will come back later"

"No no, come sit" said Chiron with a smile. "I see you have already gotten the letter". With a lot of confusion a closed the door and sat opposite the woman. I studied her features a bit more. Her hair interested me the most, because it looked exactly the same as mine. That was weird because the only feature that I didn't share with my mother was her hair. My mothers hair was also black, but seemed to reflect the night sky. This woman's, like mine, was so dark it almost looked purple. Before I could ask, Chiron spoke, "Luna I would like to introduce you to Lady Hecate, goddess of magic"

My eyes widened and I quickly bowed down, trying not to seem disrespectful. "Rise my dear," said the lady with a firm but kind voice. I sat back down and immediately thought of something.

"Excuse me, but did you say goddess of magic. As in witches and wizards and things"

The lady smiled widely and said "You are quite smart. Could have even passed for a daughter of Athena, but yes witches and wizards are also part of my domain. My head started working and before I could hold my mouth, I blurted, "I didn't even know they existed! How do they stay hidden? Where do they stay? Wait! Does that mean that-"

"Hold on, let's start from the beginning. Do you remember when you're mother came and explained how she gave birth to you? She told you that two other gods helped in the process, one being Apollo. It is time for you to know who the second god is, but I'm pretty sure you know already. The second god was me."

I spent 2 minutes just absorbing the information. I am not only the daughter of the sun and the moon, but also magic. "What about the letter" I suddenly asked.

"As you know most demigods are given blessings by their godly parent. You have been given blessings from Artemis, Apollo and also me. One of my blessings to you is the ability to use magic. Now magic is not just flicking a stick and saying words or throwing random things into a cauldron and hoping something would happen. It takes time and actual training. Training that cannot be done in this camp. The letter that was delivered to you was from the best wizarding school in the whole world and you have been accepted to learn there. If you accept the offer you will be sent to school in September and come back for Christmas and the summer holidays. Would you like to go?"

My brain was literally doing somersaults. I have been accepted to a magic school. Where I can learn magic. I would love to go, but there was one question on my mind.

"Where is this school?" I asked.
"I was hoping you wouldn't ask that. Hogwarts is in Scotland."
"Scotland! Are you kidding me. That's so far and I will only get to see my friends on the holidays," I exclaimed.

"I know, but this is a once in a lifetime opportunity and you will be able to contact them. You can get an owl and send letters to them every day. Just please consider it" she then stood up and vanished out of thin air.

Chiron had already left, so I was just sitting by myself. I left the house and walked to the river knowing everyone would be there. Kat was the first one to notice me.

"Are you okay. I saw you running out of the pavilion. Where were you? What happened?"

"Yay. You ran even faster than Grover on Enchilada day" said Percy.

"Hey!!!" shouted Grover with a look of hurt.

I then burst into tears. Which took everyone by surprise. I started to tell them what happened.  How Hecate was my other mother and that I'm a witch. I told them about the school and that I could only see them on Holidays.

Will then spoke, "I can't believe you have to go"

"I haven't said yes yet. I don't want to leave you guys"

"Sis. You're not leaving us. You're just going to a school to learn about magic. And just imagine. Becoming a witch can make you the strongest demigod of all the ages." Said Percy with a smile.

Then Annabeth spoke, "And if you think about it. Most of the camp with be going to school and coming back on the holidays. Most of us too."

"You guys are right. I should go, but I will miss you all"

"We will miss you to but we can always send letter. And of course I'm right, I'm a daughter of Athena."

We all laughed at Annabeth's attempted to be funny and I already felt better. We spend the rest of the day laughing and swimming in the lake.

Later that day, I went back to my cabin. I got ready to sleep, but before I could, I heard a rattle on the window. I opened it and in came a silvery, white owl with a package and a letter in it's claw. I opened the letter first:

Dear Luna.

I would like to wish you a very happy birthday. The owl's name is Moonstream and she belongs to you now. She will deliver anything you ask her to and be a very good companion. Take good care of her. The package you received will be most useful and will prepare you for your time in Hogwarts.

From: Your mother, Lady Artemis

I put the letter down and opened the package. Inside was a book that read ' Hogwarts, A History by Bathlida Bagshot' As interesting as the book looked, I couldn't keep my eyes open for any longer, so I put the book down and opened the window to let Moonstream fly out. I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.
