SMG4 X MLP (Season 2)

The Overdue Lesson

The sun rises over the Mushroom Kingdom once again. Boopkins had brought over supplies for his friend while Four was gathering stuff to write something down. Probably a script for a video.

"Paper, check!"

"Pencil, check!"

"Computer, check!"

That last one seemed a little unnecessary. Why would his computer be missing? Boopkins came in to drop off his supplies. "Hey Smg4! Here's all the paper I could find!" Four smiled and pointed to an overflowing pile of papers in the corner. "Thanks Boopkins! Set them down over there." Boopkins didn't understand why he had so much, but did as he was told. "What do you need all this paper for?"

"Oh! It's for a list I need to make. I've got a lot of things to do by the end of the day." Boopkins started waving excitedly and said "Ooo! Ooo! Can I help?" Four laughed and nodded. "Sure! You could help me make the list." The fish grabbed a piece of paper and a pencil. "Alright. What's the first thing?"

"Make the list of things I need to get done by the end of the day." Boopkins blinked in confusion. Four could sometimes be a stickler for detail and there was no shortage of evidence today.

~A few hours later~

The two of them walked through the streets of Mushroom City while Boopkins checked off the completed things. They had already dropped off the laundry of dresses and overalls at the cleaners, returned Meggy's weights that he had used to exercise, and placed an order for some more paper so he could continue working on scripts and designs. "Hmmm, I could have sworn I placed an order a few days ago." Boopkins looked down at the stacks of paper in his hands and knew exactly what had happened.

"Well it seems like we're ahead of schedule. What's next?" Boopkins eyes perked up as he cheered "Cupcakes for the picnic!" They stopped by the Mushroom Cafe to pick up the pink raspberry cupcakes and Boopkins's mouth watered. Four noticed something wrong and told Toad "I only ordered 12." He said "Well the chefs made an extra so we just added it to the box."

Four thought it was nice, but it kind of bugged him that some of the frosting was getting on another cupcake. He decided to grab one of those spreading spatulas and try and scoop it off, but it just gave two other cakes more. He started flailing frost around until each cupcake had a little dollop. Toad looked dumbfounded and mumbled "Yeah...much better."

Four wrapped up the box and when he went to leave, he found Boopkins covered in frosting. "Maybe I overdid it." Boopkins started licking the sweet substance and said "It's okay. I'll get it." Four looked him with a partially disgusted face as he grabbed the list and moved on.

They finally made it home as Boopkins finally finished checking everything off and sat down for a rest. As Four stashed the cupcakes away for later so Mario wouldn't eat them all, Boopkins said "Good thing you don't have anything to report to Smg1 and 2. I'm quite tired from all this writing." Four stopped in shock and realized "I haven't sent a letter to Smg1 and 2 this week!?"

"Is that bad?" Four went right up to his face and began shaking him. "BAD! BAD!? OF COURSE IT'S BAD! I'm supposed to send a letter to them every week to tell them a lesson I've learned in friendship." Maybe he wouldn't be so freaked out if it was every other week or every 10 days, but no. It was every single week.

Four ran up to his room and began digging through his stuff, wondering "Where's my phone!?" Boopkins pulled it out of a drawer and Four snatched it, going to today's date on his calendar. "When did we send the last one!?" Boopkins remembered that particular lesson and said "Tuesday?"

Four flipped through the days until "Today is...Tuesday?" He almost threw his phone in frustration as he quickly pulled up the time as the afternoon had started. "If I don't send them a letter by sundown, i'll be TARDY!" Boopkins still didn't see what the fuss was about. "You'll be what?"
