Brotherly Competition

Boopkins was soundly sleeping with his Umaru Chan plushie. He was having sweet dreams about his waifu when a strange smell met his nose. "Mmmm rocks..." He fell out of bed from the thought of his favorite food woke him up. Upon opening his eyes, he found it was JubJub making breakfast. "Wow! Are you making breakfast for us? Thank you so much JubJub!" His brother smiled and showed off a plate of moldy, black sludge on the plate. Boopkins smile turned into nervousness when he heard the sounds of blubber.

"Daddy?" JubJub put a plate in front of his father and the octopus patted his head. Boopkins sat at the table to find that all the plates were covered in that weird goopy substance. Now that they were all awake, Joe Boopkins explained that he was going away on a trip for a while and he wanted Boopkins to watch JubJub while he was gone. "How fun! Wait...I have to take care of my brother!?" JubJub went up to his brother and happily nuzzled him as a display of affection. He couldn't wait to spend some quality time with Boopkins.

He ran off to set up some activities while Boopkins asked "How long will you be away?" Joe made some sounds that meant he was going to be gone for a week, which made Boopkins a little unsure. "I love JubJub, but I wanted to watch anime with Miku..." His father gave him a cold stare as he sadly nodded. "Yes dad..."

Both brothers waved happily as their father left with a fedora and suitcase in hand. After he left, the first thing to be handled was the messy kitchen. "Don't worry JubJub! I'll show you how to make a yummy breakfast after I clean!"

"JubJub!" his younger brother exclaimed happily. Boopkins started to scrub dishes and wipe up stains while JubJub patiently waited, but after a while, his patience began to wear off into boredom. Boopkins was putting a plate of eggs on the table when he heard groaning. "JubJub..." Boopkins could tell that JubJub was being left out, but he needed something easy for him to do. "I know! How about you put the pepper on." He gave a wooden stick with a round topper.

The baby started sprinkling a whole bunch of pepper onto the plate, but his nose began to tickle and he let out a loud "ACHOOO!" which sent the plate and table flying. Both brothers watched as silverware went flying, the table was knocked over, and the only thing that survived was the eggs which JubJub happily ate.

The two finished cleaning the kitchen...again when Boopkins check the time. "Oh no Miku! I'm coming!" He ran back to his body pillow when he asked JubJub "Could you please hang up the towels outside?" His brother optimistically agreed and went out of the ocean and went to hang up the towels on the beach when he saw another body pillow that belonged to his brother. That gave him an idea. "JubJub!"

Boopkins popped outside for a second to check on JubJub. "How's everything go- MIDOKA!" JubJub had hung up the pillow along with all the towels to dry. Boopkins pulled his beloved "girl" down and started stroking it. "Are you okay!?" Everything seemed to be okay except that it was quite the hot day today and neither brother knew that sunlight could fade the colors. Midoka's hair turned into a white, which compared with the white pillow background, made her look bald. "NOOOOO!!!"

JubJub looked sad as Boopkins calmed himself and said "It's okay JubJub! It's...fine..." After all he still had other pillows. Speaking of which, he had a anime to finish. "Go play JubJub and I'll join you as soon as I'm finished!" He made some happy noises and went to play some games.

~A few hours later~

JubJub had played some video games and with his toys, but Boopkins still hadn't come out. JubJub rolled around, bored out of mind. All he wanted was some quality time with his brother. He then noticed some stacks of colored paper and some crayons. "JubJub!" A special drawing in honor of his older brother would surely win him over. When he finished, he grabbed the drawing and rushed up to Boopkins in his bed. "JubJub!" When Boopkins saw the drawing, his mouth went agape. He rushed into the kitchen with an empty plate. "Did you use the rocks I was saving for this!?"
