Into The Fray

Eggdog came running into the city with a bunch of flyers and not so far behind him was Smg3 with a stack as well. As the little white dog put up the papers, Three called out "Attention scrubs! Meeting tonight!" Everyone curiously observed the flyers when Tari walked by. She curiously picked up one of the sheets of paper and her body instantly stiffened. She dashed off before anyone had a chance to ask her what was wrong. Someone read aloud "Mandatory meeting for all Mushroom Kingdom citizens?" All Three could explain as he rushed through town was "Peach's castle tonight. Later losers!"

~Later that night~

Most of the kingdom had tuned in for this meeting, although knowing Three it was some crazy Shenanigan that they would be forced to do anyway. Still, Three wasn't the usual kind of guy to ask for help. They all entered the lobby as some big screen projector was set up. Before they started, Three did a head count to make absolutely sure nobody decided to be a jerk and bail on him. Everybody seemed to be here except one...Tari. Three groaned and walked over to a tree that looked like the ones from Animal Crossing. He crossed his arms and said "You coming gamer girl or am I going to have to drag you inside?" The tree spun around with the blue haired girl staring nervously back at him. He pushed her inside and said "Come on! Move it!"

An old movie played that explained how factories were powered by unlimited energy sources, but there was an old fashioned one that was the most tricky of all. Human power. To sum it up if a whole group of people, specifically a whole city worked together with the combination of their strengths, they could be able to power machines themselves. There was a catch though...you have to get a minimum of 800 mph for this to work.

The movie was suddenly interrupted when the reel burned out and everyone groaned in frustration. They turned towards Boopkins, who was tangled up in the movie. "Uhhh....intermission?" Three stepped in front of them and said "So here's what we're gonna do! There's a meme factory nearby and they have chosen us to be their main source for the energy needed to deliver memes across the universe. That is why you are all now working for me! It's up to you to get it up and running, but we're not just doing that no no no!"

Tari hid amongst the crowd as Three pointed out "I have also gotten Mr Yeast to record our efforts and speed." He pulled out a graph and put on his nerdy pink glasses as he pointed to the board. "Now last year, the record was broken by Nook's real estate with 910 mph. Don't ask how they did that..."

A flashback faded in that showed Tom Nook and his sons torturing poor villagers to work with whips to power his company.

"Annnyyywaayyss, I know we can do better! We are going to smash that record with over 1000 mph!" Excited murmurs went around the room as Tari hid her face. "If...each and every one of you trains hard to get your speed up!" He then heard a cough come from across the room as he narrowed his eyes and said "Don't you even think about it Bowser. Nobody is getting sick now!"

Everyone stared at Bowser as he twirled his thumbs and acted none the wiser. "Heh..who did that?" Three massaged his eyebrows as he said "My point is are we gonna train hard!?"

"Yeah!"

"Are we gonna be strong!?"

"Yeah!"

"Are we gonna be fast!?"

"YEAH!"

"You better because if you don't I'll kill you!"

Tari covered her face with her hands as the room fell silent. "So who's with me? Doesn't matter! You're doing it anyway!" The crowd soon fell into applause and cheers except for Tari, who had mysteriously vanished. Three noticed and growled "Tari..."

The next day, Three ordered everyone to get an early start and head up to the internet graveyard for a little training. Waiting for them was a track that Eggdog had set up with the help of the dead memes. Three soon arrived, checking to see how his team was doing as Saiko was cracking her knuckles and bragging how easy this was, Bob was using Boopkins as a punching bag, and Luigi looked like a pretzel. "Help..." Three gave him a deer headed stare and said "Uh...someone help him over here." He announced "Keep it up everyone! We need all the speed we need to break that record!"
