The Meme Pox

"Today's the day guys! The day that you guys come bowling with me!" Smg4 excitedly got to Candle Pin Bowl where Mario and Meggy didn't seem that interested. "Why did you take us here exactly Four?" He told them how much he was looking forward to showing his favorite sport with them, but they didn't buy it. The guy was always making videos or researching memes so it seemed highly unlikely.

"Mario wants to goooo hooommeee!" Meggy sighed and said "Let's give it a chance Mario. It might be fun." She grabbed their bags, but noticed Mario's was heavier than hers. "What's in here?" She zipped it open to be buried in an avalanche of pasta. "Thank you for getting out Mario's spaghetti!" Four was used to this as he ignored it and eagerly brought them inside.

Meggy was up first. She took a deep breath and threw the ball like a baseball, except it plunged straight into the gutter. "What!?" Meggy groaned and went back to her seat, claiming that the ball messed her up. Mario was up next. He threw the ball with derped eyes as he forgot let go and mumbled right down the lane and came out the ball dispenser.

Smg4 showed them how they were supposed to do it with a nice simple roll that turned into a strike. "Wow! Good job Four!" Mario was still confused on what to do as he just kept throwing the ball incorrectly. "Thanks Meggy." Just then a little kid ran up to him and said "Are you Smg4?"

"Yes I am." He looked proudly on himself as the kid started gushing "OHHH MY GOOODDD! I'VE ALWAYS WANTED TO MEET SMG4! SHOW ME ONE OF YOUR FUNNY MEMES!" Four laughed and pulled his phone out of his pocket while happily replying "Sure!" He showed a classic meme of Eggman, but the smile on the kid's face vanished. "Why do you keep using that meme? It's so old. Make a better meme!" Four was stunned as the kid walked off.

Mario waved, saying "Bye bye! Well he was sure nice." Meggy told him "Don't worry about what others think Four. We think your content is great."

"Well Smg4 has used that meme a lot." Mario said as Meggy kicked him in the shin to shut him up. "Ow! Why did Meggy hurt Mario?"

The three of them walked home as Mario said "That-a was lots-a fun! Mario got so many strikes!" Meggy corrected him. "Those were gutter balls Mario." He kept making the "Ooooooo" sound while Four looked down in the dumps. "Hey Four are you okay?"

"I just can't believe that kid thought i used that meme too much! It's great!" Mario noticed his best friend's sadness and said "Mario has an idea to cheer Smg4 up!" They took Four back to the castle and said "Some super smash will cheer Smg4 up!" He slid the control away and said "No it won't."

Mario had another idea as the two brought him to Three's Starbucks and Mario pointed "Look Smg4! Your boyfriend will cheer you up!" while Meggy gave him a cup of coffee. Four pushed the cup off the table and said "No it won't!" Three looked confusedly at them and asked "What's his problem?"

Mario whispered back "Smg4's going through a midlife crisis because some kid dissed him at the bowling alley." They left, leaving Three dumbfounded. Mario tried having Melony cheer him up by drawing him. "Lookie Smg4 it's you! This will cheer you up!" Four was getting sick of this as he yelled "NO IT WON'T!"

He stomped angrily out of the door and towards the Dark Webbed Forest. Meggy called out "Come on Four! It's just a meme!" Mario added on "Or Smg4's lack of memes!" Meggy quickly shushed him and said "That's not helping Mario!" They noticed Four heading into the forest as they yelled "Come back Four!" He didn't listen and ventured further in. Meggy and Mario concernedly watched him leave before sharing a glance with each other and heading home.

Four didn't know where he was heading, but all he wanted was to just be alone with his thoughts. Memes were his whole life. He was a meme guardian for pete's sake. He suddenly tripped over a twig and tumbled down a hill until his head smashed into the ground an intense pain shocked him. A tiny man approached, asking "Who do we have here?" Four looked up to find his old friend Egad. "Ah Four. How nice to see you again." Four stood up as he rubbed his cheek. Egad rubbed his chin as he asked Four to open his mouth.
