Vampire's POV

I like to hide in the shadows and wait for my next vulnerable victim to sink my teeth into. I step into a dark alley when...I immediately noticed a very interesting scent. I took a deep breath to get a better whiff of the scent and...it smelled like roseliles. A very sweet and intoxicating smell that shot straight through my nostrils and filled my entire insides like a drug. I tilted my head up and rolled my eyes back. I am now curious to find what this source of smell is coming from so I followed the sweet scent into the alley to find a pleasant surprise.

There was a human girl dressed in a black jacket with her hood up, walking alone in the dark. She wasn't paying attention to her surroundings as her head was faced towards the ground. As she walked closer to me, her sweet scent was getting stronger and stronger, surrounding me like a large field of flowers. It was very unsettling on how addicting this smell was affecting me.

"Hey there, human. What are you doing out here so late at night?"

She looked up and was startled to see me, not expecting anyone to be walking in her direction.

She paused and looked hesitant to answer as if she was conflicting to respond or not. "Going for a late night stroll," she quietly managed to say.

"A late night stroll? Hm...you know, it's not very wise for a young girl like you to be out late at night...especially in a dark alley. You never know...what kind of danger lurks around the corner. You might get snatched, hurt or...who knows, bitten." I lightly chuckled.

Her black eyes went wide shaking in fear.

"I'm just kidding about the last part. But seriously, you really shouldn't be out here alone...you might just run into some creature of the night. And I'm not talking about raccoons, wolves, or tigers."

"A bat?" she asked, curiously.

"Hm, yes. That is a very good and quite ironic answer you got there. You are very smart but unfortunately, not smart enough to not be out here alone at night. Tell me, what is the reason why you are taking a late night stroll?"

"I needed to take some air to breathe," she replied.

"Well, it'll be a shame if something were to happen to you that took your breath away. Who takes a late night stroll in a dark alley anyway? Pretty strange place to relax."

I noticed the girl was shivering.

"Are you cold? Is the wind making you shiver? Is that jacket not keeping you warm enough? Here, let me to put my coat around you." I walked closer to her and took off my coat to wrap around her shoulders.

"Feel warmer?" I asked her.

She nodded slightly.

"Are you sure? You're still shivering. Do you mind me coming closer? I can help warm up your body."

She looked up at me with those wide black eyes again, unsure what to say.

"Don't worry. I'll just hold you until you stop shaking. I won't hurt you or do anything," I assured her.

I stretched out my arms as she slowly stepped closer to me. As her head hit my chest, I wrapped my arms around her back engulfing her sweet scent even stronger than the first time I smelled her.
