I'm thinking about letting it out
I wanna give in
I wanna go out
Been looking around
I finally found the rhythm of love
The feeling of sound
It's making a change
The feeling is strange
It's coming right back
Right back in my range
Not worried about anything else
I'm waking upTo the beat of my
To the beat of my
To the beat of my heart"Beat of My Heart" - Hilary Duff

Alice's POV
I woke up in a daze, feeling really sore especially in my neck area. I touched the left side of my neck and felt a small mark like the size of a dot. I gasped. My brain flooded with the last thing I remembered:
I was at Rockbrooke Library. I was busy reading my book when...that jerk of a vampire rudely snatched my book away from my hands and...ugh! He tried to force me to kiss him on the cheek or else he wouldn't return my book back!
And then...I managed to knee him in the stomach and run away. But before I could get to my car...he stopped in front me. He said something about punishing me and then...my eyes widened and I gasped—remembering the last main detail. I saw something flew really fast in front me, but I didn't know what it was until...Alexandar knocked out on the ground.
I was freaking out, not knowing what to do. I couldn't believe that...that annoying vampire was down on the ground before my very eyes. I tried to shake him a couple times, but he wasn't responding. And then shortly after...something shot my neck, and I knocked out fast.
Once I regained the last moments of my memories back, I finally took in my surroundings and...realized I was in an unfamiliar place. It was dark. The only light was a lamp above my head.
I was strapped to a chair. My heart jumped. My wrists were strapped to the armrest. I started moving my arms and legs. I didn't realize it but my legs were also strapped together.
"Oh, good. You're awake. There's no use in struggling. You can't move. Even if you could somehow escape, we have guards outside to catch you before you even step out the door."
I heard a female voice in the darkness. She slowly revealed herself as she stepped into the light and walked closer towards me.
I realized who it was. That blonde female vampire I saw in the bathroom at the Vampire Ball aka Alexandar's ex-girlfriend. I sighed. Oh, great.
"Great seeing you again." I said sarcastically, giving her a plain facial expression.
She laughed. "I could say the same about you but honestly, I already didn't like you from the start. And to really think that you were a vampire? My gosh, I am ashamed at myself for not even catching on that you were human. I should've known. I never seen you before. And yet...here we are...again."
I rolled my eyes along with my head. "Hurry up and cut to the chase. What the fuck do you want?" I snapped.
She crossed her arms. "Whoa! Human girl got a little spice, doesn't she? I can see why...he's into you." She chuckled and smirked. "Anyway...you must be dying to know why you're strapped here...in the dark...alone."
