I spend my free week in the U.S. When I walk into my apartment i'm greeted with the national anthem and an american flag cake.
My sister grins at me as I drop my bags to the ground, she tackles me in a hug and i'm too tired to tell her to get off me.
"I missed you!" And smiles, bouncing around like her usual peppy self. My darling sister, Annabel is five foot nothing, blonde, and probably the opposite of me. Though our faces look shockingly similar besides her dark brown eyes and my light green ones.
"You saw me like two weeks ago." I grab a fork from my kitchen, looking out at the ocean waves and digging into my cake.
It's been a rough race week, with that video of me out and everyone feeling the need to tell me how they feel, i'm exhausted. Carlos did win though so that was exciting, for him obviously not for me.
"I still missed you!" she sits on a stool at my kitchen island, "You busy this week?"
I shrug, "The usual. Wanna hang out?" My conversations with my sister usually go the same way every time.
I want her to pay but she yells at me that i'm rich or something. We watch some episodes of the OC, surrounded in pillows and blankets on the couch. Before she leaves, we make plans and quickly catch each other up on our lives, I ask about my little brother, Ryder, who is so caught up in highschool drama to care what his big sister is doing.
I lay in my bed, feeling happy to be home again. I live in Laguna Beach CA, one of my favorite places ever. My bed overlooks the water and I keep my curtains open so I can see the water crashing against the rocks. This is my favorite lullaby.

I wake up to a facetime call from, Charles. He's outside in sunny Monaco and grinning at me, "Fuck you, It's five in the goddamn morning here, what the hell do you want!?" He's quick to shush me.
"There's a fan here!" He yells and I slap my hand over my mouth, "She's ten and wants to say hello!"
"Oh my god." I am genuinely shocked and want to cry because this poor little girl just heard me-
Charles turns the camera around and it's Lando and Max sitting across from him on a boat, "I hate you."
They start laughing, "We pranked you!" Charles giggles as I groan, pulling my blanket over my head.
"Bye!" I say, about to hang up.
"Wait, Wait! We have something to tell you!" Max cuts in and I raise a brow, still disoriented from how the sun isn't even up yet.
"Oh my god, what?"
"Chicken butt!" Charles is way too close to the camera and I hang up.
