"Nova!" Lando exclaims, I was not not expecting to see his ex hookup at a hotel rooftop.

"Lando!" Nova smiles, keeping her distance as her eyes drift to me by Landos side. She doesn't reach to touch him, just holds her cup close to her. "Caroline!"

This makes me smile, waving. "Nova!" I say to her, "Are you here for the GP?"

Nova pushes her silky hair behind her shoulder, nodding. "William's invited me." She shrugs.

I nod, looking at Logan who walks over and smiles at all of us. I'm pretty sure he's the most uncomfortable one here. "Guys!" he flashes a shiny grin, "Could I steal Nova for a sec? Gotta get that content in!" He rushes his words out and is gone in the blink of an eye.

"So..." I sip my drink, leaning against the roof wall, "Nova." Lando told me everything about them, it's just hard for me to believe that he doesn't feel anything. She's so gorgeous- like a genuine model who's claiming the charts as we speak.

"Nova." He nods, looking at me, "My friend."

I nod slowly, "My friend, too. My friend who I haven't fucked."

"Caro." He looks away, taking a breath, "That's not fair."

I squeeze my lips together, knowing he's right, "I'm sorry."

"You don't have to worry. I- care about you. You're my girlfriend." He sips his drink as he says it, making sure no one sees. He's too good at hiding the relationship that I suggested we keep silent.

"I know." I'm embarrassed now, looking down at my sneakers.

He turns around, leaning his forearms against the barrier from the harsh drop. Reminding me once again of that night at my house, "Love." he whispers, "I never cared about her. Not like you... and she knows that too."

I know he's right. The thing is, after being betrayed by my ex, not seeing any warning signs, i'm still so hesitant. It may be why I don't want to go public as well... If Lando hurts me or even If I hurt him, it's all food for the hungry public.

I'm on the simulator, Oscar and Lance in the same room as me. I switch gears and speed up as I enter a DRS zone. We're in Mexico city this week, a fun track especially after my home win. My team says i'm getting risky with my driving, as if I haven't always been.

I turn the simulator off and stand, taking a drink of my water as B comes up to me, Ipad in hand. "Interview with Allure in twenty, get cleaned up?"

I nod, half listening. I really do need to get cleaned up, my hair is gross and I need to fix my smudged mascara.

B leaves me as I pull my hair back and whip out the micellar water. A slight knock sounds at my drivers room door, "Hello?"

Lando opens the door and slips in, smiling softly when he sees me. "Hi Lan." I giggle a bit, not expecting him to be free all day.

"I like when you say my nickname." he sits next to me, wrapping his arms around my waist and resting his head on my shoulder, looking at the mirror in doing my makeup in.

"Got out early?" I ask, swiping on my lipgloss.

"Pissed off a reporter." He shrugs, "Wasn't my fault though." I make an 'mmm' sound and keep checking out my face. "When do you have your next thing?" his lips find my neck, kissing the spot that makes my knees go weak.

"Ten minutes?" I think, not even knowing the time, just focused on the man attached to me.

"Ditch it. Stay in here." he keeps kissing my neck.
